Warren Beatty Returning to the Director’s Chair
He’s only directed four movies over the course of three decades, but now Paramount Pictures has announced that Warren Beatty will be stepping behind the camera again for the first time in 13 years. No details as of yet, but the as-yet-untitled comedy is being developed from an original script by Beatty himself.
Beatty’s last film as a director was the 1998 political satire Bulworth. He had previously directed the 1990 comic-strip adaptation Dick Tracy and the 1978 comedy Heaven Can Wait. He won the Best Director Oscar for his second film, 1981‘s Reds.

As long as this doesn’t distract him from getting the much-wanted “Dick Tracy” Blu-ray out, loaded with all kinds of bonus content, then I’m excited about this.
