Vote In The 1st Annual Flickcharters’ Choice Awards!

15 Feb
2012

Every year around this time, awards are given to the greatest in films, yet they always disappoint. The Oscars mostly avoid the mainstream, Golden Globes’ choices are a bit unexpected, and the Critics’ Choice Awards… where to even begin?

This year though, Flickchart decided to create their own awards for you – the Flickchart audience. We let the Flickchart blogging staff vote in twenty different categories. The five nominees in each category with the highest total of votes became the nominees in each of the categories. Now that the nominees have been chosen, it is up to you to decide who the winners are.

The nominees for the 1st Annual Flickcharters’ Choice Awards are:

Best Documentary Film

Best Foreign Language Film

Best Animated Film

Best Film Completely Snubbed by the Oscars

Biggest Disappointment of 2011

I find the lack of Win Win disturbing.

Why is Red State not in the Worst Film category?

Ah, I see what you’ve done there. You’ve put Kevin Smith in for Best Director and then, when anyone votes for him, you can immediately ignore the rest of that guy’s ballot. Clever.

The overrated category is always inviting an argument. No two people agree on what film is overrated. Except for Red State.
