This Week’s Top New Movie Trailers
A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas (11-4-2011)
CAST: John Cho, Kal Penn, Neil Patrick Harris
FLICKCHART FUTURE: Harold and Kumar go to White Castle is ranked at #1030 on Flickchart with 276 top 20 rankings. Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo is at #1893 with 87 to 20 rankings. From the trailer, I expect this to continue the downward trend but still be an entirely watchable movie.
50/50 (11-30-2011)
CAST: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Anna Kedrick
FLICKCHART FUTURE: With this movie and the excellent story arc on the TV show Archer this year, there’s some solid comedy available on cancer right now. I just wish Anna Kendrick could’ve been my doctor back when I had cancer.
The Sitter (12-9-2011)
DIRECTOR: David Gordon Green/a>
CAST: Jonah Hill, J.B. Smoove
FLICKCHART FUTURE: I guess Jonah Hill in a raunchy babysitting movie is better than Jonah Hill in a standard, family-geared babysitting movie? Let’s all just watch Adventures in Babysitting instead.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green (8-15-2012)
DIRECTOR: Peter Hedges
CAST: Jennifer Garner, Joel Edgerton, Ron Livingston
FLICKCHART FUTURE: I’m the wrong guy to judge this trailer. I can’t think of a single movie that interests me less than one about two people who have trouble conceiving, planting a box of ideal child traits in a garden and then having a kid sprout from it. I will say though, it could make a killer double feature with The Happening if it’s a big environmentalist message movie.
