There’s a promotion at Best Buy right now where several Universal Blu-rays come with an offer for movie cash to see either Paul or next month’s Your Highness. We’d been meaning to upgrade Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead anyway, and they were both on sale for $14.99 apiece. For $30 we got both movies on Blu-ray and we get to go see Paul without paying a penny out of pocket. Definitely worthy of a banana dance, except Flickchart’s blog doesn’t include a banana dance emoticon.
Now I just gotta hope my stupid guts don’t act up, as I really want to go see it tonight with a lively audience.

We went ahead and just caught an afternoon showing of Paul, which was really for the best as I’m now fairly nauseated. ‘Twas a lot of fun (as expected). The entire cast was great, but for my money it was really Kristen Wiig that brought the funny. I’ve always kinda liked her, but she cracked me up in just about every scene she had in this.
