New Movies in Theaters: January 28, 2011

Remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson movie of the same name. Call me crazy but I vastly prefer Bronson to Jason Statham.

Is exorcism the new zombies? There seems to be one every couple months now. This one stars Anthony Hopkins and Alice Braga. That PG-13 rating will probably keep me away.

Javier Bardem is nominated for Best Actor at this year’s Oscars for the film.

Sadly, this isn’t a prequel showing Rowdy Roddy Piper’s fall from high-powered fashion CEO to blue collar alien destroyer in They Live. It’s instead a Latina take on Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, starring a couple of knockouts in Camilla Belle and Alexa Vega.

Sequel to the Martial Arts movie Ip Man, starring Donnie Yen.

“A sci-fi story centered on the sexual awakening of a group of college students.” It stars Thomas Dekkar, Haley Bennett, Kelly Lynch, Juno Temple and the guy from Independence Day who looks like Keanu Reeves.
