Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son – NR – watch the trailer ►
I like to look for the positives in everything, and this movie is really testing me in trying to find something nice to say. All I have so far is that co-star Jessica Lucas is incredibly cute. The rest of the movie looks really bad though.

When I first saw the Big Momma’s Boys trailer, the only thought I had was, “Wow. This will be the biggest comedy of 1992!” Every joke featured in that trailer was a spin on a nearly 20 year old catch phrase or song lyric. I shudder to think of what material the marketing department felt would make the movie look bad…!
Also, is it just me or does anyone else find it odd that Liam Neeson has become an action hero since his wife died?
Travis: Odd or not, Neeson makes a fantastic action hero.
Yes, he does, Nigel. I think it’s the voice more than anything. He has a very unusual cadence that I think is suggestive of wisdom. He just sounds like a guy who knows what’s up. It makes him more of an action hero like, say, Harrison Ford than Bruce Willis (both of whom I enjoy). My wife and I are tinkering with seeing a movie tonight, if my guts settle down and cooperate. Unknown is in contention for tonight’s selection.
