‘The Avengers’ Teaser Poster Revealed

The first promotional item of the Marvel Universe Crossover directed by Joss Whedon has hit the web today (courtesy of TheOnlyESQ and cleaned up by ComicBookMovie.com). This is the first time Iron Man, Thor, The Hulk, Captain America and the rest of the Avengers have been featured as a team. It may be worth mentioning both Iron Man and Cap have new suits, but the rest of the Avengers look largely the same. The Avengers is currently filming and will be released May 4, 2012.

    It’s Whedon, sure, but I remain skeptical. So far this year the Marvel fare has been kind of middle-ground for me.

    As to the poster, I kind of like it. I hope they stick with the comic’y idea when it comes down to really marketing this film. They probably won’t.
