“…if [Flickchart] ever folded, I’m fairly certain I’d embark on a new lifestyle of wandering the streets, hygiene long neglected, entreating strangers to allow me to fellate them in exchange for presenting me with a tiny poster of “Ulee’s Gold” alongside another tiny poster of “Caddyshack 2″, and that’s after I’d finally stopped convulsing and vomiting uncontrollably…”

Good thing for you we’re not going anywhere, and we have a laundry list of new features to push, new films to add, and lots of excitement yet to come!
One is the most successful R-rated comedy of all time, while the other is an ornery return to form for one of cinema’s greatest living directors. Amazingly enough, both hit theaters in the same year and rank indisputably as two of 2009′s best films. Filled with breakout performances, smart scripts, and non-linear structures, they are unique entries in each of their respective genres: one, because each borrows from the other’s specialties; and two, because they are incredibly funny. This week’s Reel Rumbles is a war you won’t be able to forget no matter how many roofie-spiked Jaeger shots you put through your system. Ladies and gents, Flickchart proudly presents: The Hangover vs. Inglourious Basterds.

Duplicity is the order of the day for this week’s Reel Rumbles, and I don’t mean that forgettable Julia Roberts flick that came out just a short while ago. This week, two tales of anarchy go head to head. In one, we join a dark avenger protecting the citizens of Gotham City from chaos. In another, we follow a fed-up white collar Joe out to cause a little chaos of his own. This week deserves a better class of criminal, and you’re going to get him as a certain Caped Crusader, and a guy named Tyler who suspiciously favors Brad Pitt face off for bragging rights in The Dark Knight vs. Fight Club.
