Oh, you're not a fan of A Christmas Story at all. May I ask you why?

I can't even say why, per se. I just hated everything about it. It was like being around extended family who makes you feel uncomfortable and you just want to leave their house but your parents are being polite and you hate them for a week for even dragging you along and not leaving sooner.

You have an awesome variety in your top ten Travis. I'm glad it features the best Transformers movie.

Ha! I'm sure there are plenty of Flickcharters more eclectic than me. I dig what I dig and I let Flickchart sort it out. :P

I'm sure there is, but take the compliment Travis. :) you've got a Bogie movie, in with Transformers, in with Oz, in with batman! Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Plus there's "Lawrence of Arabia", which I maintain is The Greatest Motion Picture of All Time.

Of course, Travis! That's awesome as well. Your whole top ten is great. :)

I just realized that I've seen at least nine of my top ten in a theater. The only one I'm not entirely sure of is "Dumbo", though I feel very strongly that I did see it as a child in a theater. Oddly enough, I've seen five of the ten in a theater for the first time just since last spring!

That's pretty cool, Travis. :)

It is kinda neat. I'm grateful that there have been so many theaters screening older movies these days. In the Louisville area, we have one theater that shows cult faves/classics every other Saturday at midnight (weekly through summer and in October). We also have a local theater with an annual classic movie series, a city park that offers free screenings in the summer of classic movies and we have a Cinemark theater that participates in their classic series. That's four different summertime classic series, and I'm happy to get in on 'em!

That all sounds awesome, Travis. You're very lucky. I have to drive four hours to see a movie in the cinema, and none of them show older movies.

You wouldn't guess Louisville, KY would be all that happening a place for being into movies but it's been pretty kind to me - particularly in recent years!

I just now saw your comment and invitation. I'll check it out, but I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to commit to anything on a regular basis.
