"I remember Velvet Goldmine being pretty boring when I originally watched it and haven't revisited since but After Sex is pretty awful. The only way After Sex wins is if I'm judging it on how it went in my mind, where most of the characters died horrible deaths. I think the writer was aware of just how dumb his characters were because it was like he was creating scenarios for them to die. Why else was that one couple in the car where they occasionally looked at their partner while going through intersections or the one where there was a gun introduced, if the writer wasn't setting up my fantasies? He wanted me to kill his stupid characters off for him. And I did... and it still wasn't satisfying."
