"Two of the greatest pieces of filmmaking of the decade so far. Fury Road was the perfect action opera and I could even call it an art film due to it relying almost entirely on visual storytelling and minimal dialogue, and yet continually keeping the adrenaline rush on insane levels. Gone Girl was just a mindfucker, which continually went from hilarious dark comedy to gripping, under-your-skin tingling thriller as well as it could. With some of the best acting in the last few years - Rosamund Pike was killer, Tyler Perry was killer, Carrie Coon was killer, hell Ben Affleck was great too. Might be one of his greatest performances ever easily. Of course, neither one of them is flawless (one did have its cornier moments and a disatisfying ending; other did have action scenes that felt a little draggy at times), but they're great nevertheless. This is a very tough one for me. I'm gonna go for the one with the biggest rewatchability factor, and that would more than likely be Fury Road. But Jesus, these two are among the greatest achievements of 2014/15 respectively, bar none."
