"My opinion of both of these films has improved a bit over time. I still find The Third Man to be a pretty middling film noir, but at least I no longer consider it an unwatchable bore. Notorious is just a better movie, overall. It's certainly nothing great, but the film's positives do (barely) drown out its negatives."
