Hello,i'm Paulo Orlando. Judging by my previous experience living in Arkansas and hearing those delightful Rednecks trying to say my first name, you can just call me Orlando, "Brazilian Guy" , or "The broke 3rd World version of Jeremy Renner", any of the three will do. My nickname is not related to the movie "SHOWTIME" especially because it really sucked bad. I judge movies by personal memories, the moment in my life when i watched, and a lot of arbitrary things. I hate pompous movie critics that pretend they're judging the meaning of existence and they can kiss my crackhole. It's a pleasure meeting you. =)

We have about 30 similar movies in our top 100. :)

That's what happens with people w/ good taste for movies! great comment on " a part of me wanted to add more obscure or older movies to appear more 'respectable'" but I knew I would just be lying to myself and everyone else." man.....that's very very honest and i bet there's tons of guys that really doesn't dig the cult classics so much, they just wanna look intelectual. lol

I like watching obscure/intellectual films just so I can make weird Flickchart comparisons that no one else has attempted. I'm not really an intellectual, but occasionally I find movies that I enjoy when I watch arty or obscure films.

I write comments mostly so I'll have a record of my thoughts on the movies I saw. I tend to forget most movies if I don't write about them. Maybe 1000 years from now, future movie watchers will use my comments as a sacred source of wisdom.
Lol! I have a shitty memory specially when it comes to movies that didn't had any emotional impact on me,and i totally agree with you, writing about them really helps. AND the fact that we gonna be sacred sources of wisdom 1000 years from now it's a extra motivation, for sure!

That is me and who would figure that I'm from Oklahoma.

Thanks for the compliment! My Flickchart is, of course, always in flux, but even more so lately as another user has really gotten me to think even harder about matchups between my highest-ranked movies.I always enjoy looking at other users' charts to get ideas for recommendations. Easily my biggest "want to see" in your current Top 20 is Moon.
Showtimebr on 11/8/2011 Reply · Like · (0 likes)
Moon is just a amazing ride from the begging and i realy recommend it John. You REALLY should see it,hardcore science fiction fan or not. It's amazing how this movie doesn't get that much credit....low budget, amazing storytelling, very good directon by Duncan(Believe it or not he's David Bowie Son..how awesome is that?) and a TRULLY incredible perfomance by Sam Rockwell. Oh,Kevin Spacey voice too. What more do you need?

Hey! Very interesting that you have Inglourious Basterds in your top 10, but haven't seen Reservoir Dogs...
I actually saw a lot of movies that aren't registered yet Marba. And in Reservoir Dogs case,it's been a long, long time,so i want to watch it again to keep it fresh and give it a good ranking. But hey,i have a big guess that it's gonna be on my top 10 as well. Good list man, keep chartin' and tell me if you have any good recommendation! =D

Ah, I see. I'm taking a somewhat different approach - if I've seen a movie, I have it added in my list. I'd recommend Infernal Affairs (a shame that you've seen the remake (The Departed) though) since it's my favourite movie, and A Fish Called Wanda. John Cleese' best effort - except Fawlty Towers, of course.

Thank you Shane,i gonna take at look at yours as well. =)

Talladega nights is funny, but anchorman is the best. I love it when will ferrell is beyond ridiculous. "I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship used during the civil war era" that quote gets me every time

Going to look for the Elite Squad movies, I would think that I would enjoy them considering all the other movies I like on your list.
Showtimebr on 12/18/2011 Reply · Like · (0 likes)
Both Elite squad movies were the first ones i ever ranked here,so they didn't had a fair ranking position here. I corrected that. Both are on the top 10 now. =]

Good year for good movies. Drive just got on my top 10!

Very good movie. I decided to put it in my top 10 as well this week.

I have heard things about that movie, but never saw a trailer until now. Shit that looks funny. I love when people act immature. That's why I love will Ferrell. The opening scene about the mall was hilarious

Seeing that you liked Drive and Bronson, you may like the Pusher trilogy as it's from Nicolas Winding Refn.

Watched the original Elite Squad, I thought it was great. Great choice for your top ten. Now I need to keep my eye out for the sequel!

Ii see that you have tintin as your number 2. Glad to see that. I love it. Best animated movie of the year. It felt like an adult movie. Also I watched that movie you recommended with will Ferrell and John c. Reilly called Tim and erics' billion dollar movie. It was rather bad. But will and John were funny as always

The artist as number 2? Good choice. Such a great film. Deserves everything it won at the oscars

I have now seen Elite Squad 2, it's fantastic, very hard hitting. I would like to know if it's a good reflection of what it's like, or if it's exaggerated a bit for entertainment?

Sorry to hear that it's like the film. I'm Australian, so it's hard to grasp the film to any real events over here. So to hear from you that it's true to life, that's sad. Hopefully one day it will be different. But you know better than I if that's possible.

Damn. You saw the avengers before me. I can't wait to see it. Doesn't hit the U.S. till May 4th. Is it amazing? I'm a huge marvel fan
