He was absolutely fantastic in Seven Psychopaths, he definitely stole the show. I loved that movie. I should see Moon; I've heard nothing but great things about it.

You may like it. I tend to enjoy over-the-top movies. If you couldn't tell by me having 300, Shoot 'Em Up and Kick-Ass in my top ten. :) I can enjoy a variety though. If you ever want a recommendation just ask, I would be glad to help.

I love Breaking Bad. It's my third favorite show of all time and I can easily say that it's probably the best show on TV right now; it's going to be really difficult for anybody or anything to replace it.

And nice top 10! Groundhog Day, Drive, Moon, and Seven Psychopaths are all fantastic.

My number one show is 'The Wire' and my number two show is 'Six Feet Under'. They were both on HBO awhile back, and both have more or less changed my life in some ways. Dexter is great. I agree that it's been pretty patchy (Seasons 5 & 6) but the most recent season felt like old school Dexter again.

So, if I were to put them in a list together, it would look like this:

1. The Wire
2. Six Feet Under
3. Breaking Bad
4. The Walking Dead
5. Dexter, Twin Peaks, Firefly, and OZ. I really cannot decide which one is the greater of the four, lol.

I don't know why, but I don't really like Game of Thrones all that much. I should probably give it another chance, but I probably still won't like it. Oh well.

I've heard many great things about Sherlock. It sounds like a pretty interesting show.

My favorite series finale is also the finale of Six Feet Under. It takes a lot to make me cry, but that show broke me, lol. Memorable stuff.

Zandalee is also crazy, and really sleazy. Cage seems to be playing a sex god, yet he looks like a homeless Jesus in the movie. He does dance with Judge Reinhold though, and it's the part in Cage loses his shit when he throws paint over himself yelling " make it black! Make it black!" :) Don't think it's worth watching though. Can you please tell me about All Good Things? I'm a Gosling fan, but I hear some bad things about the movie.

I enjoyed the social commentary on prescription pills and the doctors who prescribe them. That's where I'll leave it, it goes into territory that I shouldn't spoil. I just realized that I was responding to an old comment too, this comment section is acting screwy! The 1st one I bought was Starship Troopers, which I wouldn't say is better, but I like it more (if that makes sense). I don't know if you've seen it, but it's intentionally campy and over the top, and pretty fun. Not nearly as clever or well performed as moon though. I'm very picky about what I buy on Blu-Ray, I still buy mainly DVD's due to price. Are you a movie collector or just watcher?

Everyone recommends In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths, so I'm going to have to see them soon. And I personally think Blu Rays are over hyped a little; a bit better sound, a bit better picture, but like twice as expensive, to me its rarely worth it. So I wouldn't be too ashamed of not having them!

I got a funny thing to tell you Kate that I JUST found out. My fifth cousin is a federal cop in Australia. He's writing a book on our family tree. He found out some relations we didn't know we were related to, he even had a DNA test to prove it. The person is my 12th cousin, so it doesn't mean much, but it's still a funny thing to find out. The person is English. Now Kate, I want you to guess before you go too far down. Take a wild guess, and no peeking!!

I'll just write something so your eye isn't drawn to the answer straight away. I will just write nonsense because it would kind of stand out if I just wrote that the Queen was my distant cousin. :O

Ha! I think I would prefer to be related to the Cage! Now I'm disappointed. :(

I guess the view is nice on mt chudalup. But when you grow up seeing it all the time, you lose any wow factor. Ha, with the way it's positioned with trees all around, most of it tourists who didn't know it was there could drive right past it. But they have to come back. They'd be like " who put that bloody rock there!!" :) Because many go the wrong way because the signs are poorly displayed in one of the towns, I wish I could see their faces!

Chopper's books are good, most of the time. But this is a guys opinion, you know, guns 'n' guts usually please us. :) It's a bit rough how he represents women in his books also.

Do you have to travel far for work? Podcasts could be handy if you have long trips. I listen to Film Junk weekly, it's my favourite. Their just a bunch of guys from Canada who aren't proper film critics, who love movies.

I like podcasts like Film Sack, Yeah, it's That Bad and How Did This Get Made? also. They watch movies that are considered bad and then review them. It's just fun to see if they catch on to the same ridiculous stuff that you do.
The /filmcast is not bad also. Except the main guy, David Chen, is a bloody film snob. :)

The Nerdist podcast is pretty good. The host, Chris Hardwick, is a comedian who interviews a variety of celebs. The last episode was Steve Carell. Lastly, I also listen to You Had to be There. It's two women comedians talking to another comedian guest. Never heard such filthy mouths on women. :)

Have you seen Heath Franklin's Chopper DVDs? He's an Aussie comedian who dresses up as Chopper and performs as him in front of live crowds. It's funny stuff, especially for Aussies who know what Chopper's like.

Yeah, I loved that movie! I made a special effort to not see any trailers or look at any images for the movie. I just had a feeling I was better off not knowing ANYTHING before I watched it. When people started talking about it, i would look mental. I would start covering my ears, or waving my arms yelling bahbahbahbahbahbah!! :)

But Kate, I gotta say, Aussies got ripped off with that movie. When it was released here, it only was released in three cinemas in the whole country, despite it featuring Chris Hemsworth from Home and Away. Guess what, I wasn't near any of them!!!!!! It was showed in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle. Fremantle could of worked at any other time, but I was on holiday in Brisbane. Bloody pissed me off! I ended up watching That's My Boy....... :(

I just like movies Kate. :) Give me horror, drama, comedy and action. Give me old, over-the-top, silent or violent. It doesn't really bother me. I don't really like musicals, but I'll give them a try if I hear they're good. Sometimes I have trouble with 80's movies, mainly because of the haircuts. If the lead in a serious drama is rocking a mullet, I can't take anything that character does seriously. :) I can't deal with corny movies either. If the tone of the movie is too happy and "gee, gosh" I can't tolerate it. I'm looking at you The Sound of Music. Plus it was the only thing on for Christmas, for like, five years. it never used to bother me, but now if I see a movie with too much exposition in it. I nearly instantly want to turn it off. :) I hope you don't think I'm whinging, it's just what I don't like about movies. Seeing as I like most genres of movies, I thought I'd break down specifically what I hate.

My sense of humour doesn't fit older comedies from the 30's, 40's and 50's either. I've tried quite a few, but the closest that i like is Charlie Chaplin, I can't laugh at the Marx brothers. I have a weird sense of humour, I like to find something funny in things people don't think about. So slapstick , for me, is too forced. Their's exceptions to the rule though. Have you heard of an Aussie show called Lano and Woodley? It features a lot of slapstick, but also has weird humour that fits my taste. I love it. :)

If you want a good horror movie try Antichrist............... no, no,no, I'm joking, i'm joking, it's just awful , avoid it at ALL costs! I still feel the mental scars from the imagery in that movie. That's why i'll never see A Serbian Film, the bloody trailer is bad enough! It doesn't show much, but it's what it hints at. Blah!!!

Can you please tell me what you thought of Perks of Being a Wallflower?

Many people who don't know me, are scared of me from my height Kate, for no good reason. I guess they think every tall guy wants to fight everyone. It comes in handy though. People who are looking for fights, tend to leave me alone.

I'm nervous Kate. Nervous about you watching Shoot 'Em Up. I don't know anyone that likes it as much as i do. I hope it at least gets a pass mark from you. Just don't take it too seriously and you should have fun.

Ps I didn't have fun at work. :)

I too heard it as soon as I got off work yesterday. First song, BANG! There it is! I had a few different ones in my head. I had Deadfall for the first time, then the rest was the goat screaming. Ha, I'll admit to you that I felt like yelling like the goat when it came to that part. I got very close to doing it Kate, but I thought that people would want to lock me up. :)

I'm happy that you liked it! Even my brother-in-law doesn't like it, and we usually have the same taste in movies. I really enjoy them shooting the letters out on the sign, made me laugh. What did you think of Paul Giamatti?

Update: first song on the radio for work this morning, bloody Taylor Swift again! I caught myself smiling and bopping away to it, and yeah, I admit it, I made a goat noise. You got a problem with that? ;)

Any idea what you'll watch next?

I love Children of Men, and End of Watch was a surprising to me how much I enjoyed it. I also don't think Killing Them Softly is as bas as some people thought it was.

I plan on watching another Nicolas Cage movie called Amos & Andrew at some stage. It also has Samuel L Jackson. I'm also going to watch The Cameraman starring Buster Keaton.

I was laughing when he was whispering "I love you" to people. Oh, also when he would hold the door open for people from 20m away, loved it.

I'm going to go look for that YouTube clip.

Sorry for the late response. The Spy Who Loved Me is awesome, I actually rewatched it today. It has amazing special effects, stunts and action scenes, they're among the best in the series. That chase with the helicopter is especially brilliantly done. It's definitely my favorite of Roger Moore's Bond.
Skyfall is probably my favorite Bond movie so far. It's hard to say though, because I truly love the first three Connery Bonds (Goldfinger in particular) and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I guess you can call me a fan of the classic James Bond films.

I'm cautiously optimistic for Kick-Ass 2. The director, Jeff Wadlow, hasn't made highly acclaimed movies in the past, so I hope he doesn't screw up somehow. Although on the other hand, he was handpicked by Matthew Vaughn, the director of the first one, so that gives me hope. I wonder who will steal the show in Kick-Ass 2. Jim Carrey seems to have a lot of fun in his role, hopefully he'll be just as entertaining as Nic Cage in the first one.

Sorry about the rugby, I'm more of an AFL guy myself. My cat is very old, bloody 22 years old she is. She's older than my cousins.:)

Amos and Andrew was pretty good, not great, but watchable. I really enjoy the start, but it's loses it's pace in the middle. Also, the conclusion had nothing really that was attention grabbing. It's one of those movies where you play spot that actor before they were more famous. My favourite had to be Giancarlo Esposito (Gus Fring) who had a reasonably small part. Nicolas Cage is funny because in the middle he looks just like his character from Vampire's Kiss. It's kind of creepy how he keeps looking at the pizza delivery girl. :) I would give it about a 6.5/10

I enjoyed The Cameraman about as much as it's possible for me to like a comedy that doesn't fit my sense of humour. The quality of the stunts and heart of the film elevate it. My favourite Keaton movie still is The General. I'd give it 7.5/10.

I also saw Three Dollars. An Aussie drama starring David Wenham. It follows his character through his life, and how certain things affect a decision he makes with his job that puts pressure on his family. I'll keep it vague, but there's more to it than that. It's a 9/10 for me, I just have to wait for flickchart to add it.

In my opinion, the only way to rank movies is by favourites, but everybody doesn't do that.

My Kitchen Rules is another Australian cooking show on the rival network. The concept of the show is the contestants, who are from all around Australia, must cook a three course meal for the celebrity chefs, and the rest of the contestants, in their own home. It's quite good.

To help out backstage sounds like fun, or was it hectic? Anyway, it's still an experience. I really enjoy plays, but I'm a bit biased because they have all either starred, or were written by my cousin. She's currently the lead in a play called Thursday, which is about Australian Gill Hicks, who lost her legs in the London bombings. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm really interested! It was in Adelaide, but it went the other way to Canberra. Keep an eye out for her in The Great Gatsby as well.

Yep, that was the first thing on my mind, what's the damn colour of those nails! ;)

She plays Mrs McKee. I don't think it's a big part (never read The Great Gatsby) but it's better than nothing. Her boyfriend is in it too, but his part is even smaller than my cousin's. On imdb, it says he's playing clerk 1. :) Don't take that he's no good, he's a lead part in an Aussie tv show called Crownies. By the way, she's my first cousin, not one of these weird royalty cousins of mine.

The ABC did a show on her. If you're interested, look up Australian Story- Walking With Kate Mulvany- Transcript. It's not very long. She's got an amazing story, I respect her greatly. I highly recommend you read it.

I'm planning on watching LAWN DOGS!!! That is all.

Nah, I may watch The Master as well. See what all the hype is about. Premium Rush may be my 'fun' movie to watch.

I think with South Park it's not as bad because they aren't racist, they're just pushing buttons. Without knowing them, that's what I'd guess about them. Because of when Breakfast at Tiffany's was shot, it's more racist, because it's probably close to how they genuinely feel.

I enjoyed it, it didn't blow me away though. JGL is good as he usually is, and it has a lot of style, the way it is presented is really clever. The only thing I didn't like was the story was a bit choppy, and at times cliche. That's fairly minor though, I think you'll get a kick out of it.

Also, they build the entire movie to an amazing one liner near the end. I say amazing because it might be a really good one liner, and it also might be really stupid. I don't know which, but I liked it.

Although, Hilarious is split up into parts, and is only visual. I recommend you listen to him on Hilarious on part 6- cell phones and flying to get what kind of comedian he is.

Yeah, I'm not religious Kate. But I wouldn't call myself an atheist either. I'm just not passionate enough about any of it to give myself a title hahahaha. I don't know if your religious, but it's fine if you are. I personally feel it should be whatever works for you. If religion brings joy into someone's life, then that's fine by me. It's just not needed for myself. Not trying to say I'm better, I don't think I need to explain why i don't think I'm better. I hope you realize I'm not like that anyway. :)

Religion is responsible for some great things in the world, but like any group, the minority who are assholes give it a bad name from their actions. All the normal people in these religions and non-religions keep to themselves, just worry about their business, and are great people. It's the idiots who go around abusing each other for their believes that frustrate me! But I'm fine abusing someone if they try and force religion onto me. I'm a nice guy Kate, i will be polite for a while, but when I say no, I mean no! It's funny with me, whenever someone tries to force anything onto me, I become more determined not to do it. :) I hope I don't sound like a psycho. :)

I'm a night owl myself Kate! It seems I can operate on less and less sleep lately. No matter what time I go to bed, I wake up between 4:30 and 4:50 every morning! I used to sleep in, but it doesn't happen anymore. :(

If you end up liking Louis C.K, I recommend his tv show, Louie. It's fantastic.

I'm glad I followed up explaining that!

I really did enjoy Premium Rush. The storyline is ridiculous, but that's fine for this type of movie. I was really glad with the length of the movie. It clocked in around 82mins, excluding credits, it's a movie you really don't want to drag. Michael Shannon was awesome as the corrupt cop. He was fully aware what type of movie he was in, and acted really over-the-top.

I think 30% of Hicks show is him making loud breathing noises into the microphone. :) 'suck satan's cock!!' whoah! He seems like a guy you wouldn't want to mess with. Imagine if he lived to see George Bush junior as president! I think I prefer Louis C.K, but I still enjoyed Hicks. I'd give it an 8/10.

I finally watched Lawn Dogs Kate............. :p

I finally saw Lawn Dogs! Without sugarcoating it..................................................... the movie is awesome! Really wonderful. I don't understand why vincemale hates it soooo much.

First of all, Mischa Barton. I thought she was great. I really enjoyed the energy and the joy she brought to the role. I also liked how she acted after she saw her mother and that creep in the kitchen. She was laughing, but it was her eyes that were telling the audience her true thoughts. She should probably go back and look at this character and see how she should act in real life. I don't think I have to watch anything else with Mischa Barton. Because she won't get better than this.

I gotta say, it took me awhile to get the image of Rockwell as Wild Bill in The Green Mile out of my head! But I eventually did and enjoyed the whole relationship Trent had with Devon.

I thought Rockwell jumping off the bridge was a funny scene. However, maybe a bit too much Rockwell, if you catch my drift. ;)

Two lines really made me laugh in this movie, both from Devon. The first was, 'We won't be stealing them, just borrowing them. Then we'll change our minds and eat them'. The other was when she wanted to show him her scar, and he's confused, she says 'It's not my tits I want to show you, stupid'. Bloody funny!

As soon as I saw that Christopher McDonald was Devon's father, I knew what to expect. When hasn't he played a despicable character? That goes for all the rest of them too. I tell you, I'm patient, but I've got nothing on Trent! But, I guess he has learnt the hard way to keep to himself, with Trent being shot and all.

The only thing that annoys me was how she pretty much threw Trent under the bus with those comments. Hesitantly saying ' He touched..... He touched my scar, he said it was cool' and 'we were secret friends'. She couldn't of made it sound worse. I also think she showed awareness previously from knowing why Trent wouldn't take her into town, to know what would happen if she talked like that to her parents. Any thoughts?

Overall, I really enjoyed it! You don't have to be nervous Kate, i didn't like it as much as you, but it's an 8/10 for me.

I definitely agree with you that being biased towards Trent led to the situation. But bloody Devon really annoyed me! That's another thing. She saw how her parents reacted to her accusing the creep of molesting, yet she still said all that stuff about Trent! A word comes to mind that I won't write. Not as bad a word that you might think it is. :)

I've actually never listened to any of Maron's material. I only listen to his podcast. He's quite a good interviewer.

It's gonna be a long time watching The Godfather with ads! Hope your patient, and not tired.

Nah, I never got into racing. But if his story is interesting, it won't matter. I watch afl and basketball, that's about it. You sound like you put me to shame with the sports you like!

Yep, seen both live. AFL have HUGE crowds of over 100,000 people sometimes, so it gets cramped for a tall guy. I've watched footy in Melbourne, which has amazing arenas. You'd love Melbourne if you like sport. Footy and the tennis are right next to each other! The the cricket isn't far away either.

I've played against wheelchair basketballers that competed in the Olympics! They are too fast! We would all just get to half court, and they would be coming back the other way again. I got a new respect for them that day. :)

Love me some Skyfall. I'll be getting it on Blu Ray, it looks like a beaut!

They were down to play a match against each other later. So they decided it would be fun to get us in wheelchairs prior to the match. It's amazing watching them throw themselves around!

Two teams were picked of the best locally, both men and women were in the teams. I was picked as the starting centre. I had a lot of fun! One of the girls on my team is quite tall also. I think I got about 3 or 4 assists just setting her up.

The Slammers were down also. They are in the SBL, the league lower than the NBL., the main basketball in Australia. I got to play against The Slammers also. I didn't do too bad, considering who I was up against. I looked short out there!! One player was seven foot! I scored about 5 points against them. Very tough.

My opponent for most of the match was Peter Sumich, an AFL player who used to play for my team, the West Coast Eagles. He thought he was still playing footy, bumping me, trying to knock me over. I put up with him hitting me four times, but I had enough. I hit him with my shoulder hard enough to have him stumbling backwards. He didn't try that again. :)

The Slammers also taught us some skills before the matches! The guy was the star of the team. He was African-American. I'm just telling you this to set up what he says to me, just so you have a voice in your head. I think he was from the south. Very deep voice.

We were doing drills when all of a sudden he said.

'Hold up! Hold up!' he looks at me, he says 'What your name, and how old are you?'

I say 'Shane, I'm 15'

'15!, 15! Wow, man! Now, I must ask you Shane, what size shoe do you take?'

I say 'Size 15'.

'15! 15! Boy, you gonna make your momma poor!'

He made the whole stadium laugh, great guy! I wasn't so happy when he blocked me later in the game! :)

Sort of Kate. But everything is behind AFL by a LONG margin. Except for rugby League and Union, which is the dominant sport from Queensland to NSW. I was in Brisbane when the AFL grand final was on. I had to go eleven pages in for an article! And it was a 1/3 of a page! Then I was in Melbourne three years ago. Every sport page was footy! I mean 20 full pages of footy! Suits me. :)

You should check a game out someday. :)

Everybody thinks AFL is stupid when they haven't grown up with it. They haven't got a clue what's happening. But if you know it, it's really fun! I believe it's one of the most demanding sports in the world, physically, and mentally.

That was hilarious with Daffy and Bugs! I remember that!

I watched Moving Day on YouTube recently also! I think I liked it a bit more than you, based on the rankings. I was in tears when he was on flying around the room!

I don't like any actresses who have a career because of looks, Megan Fox for example. When I saw the This is 40 trailer, and her character is getting Leslie Mann to touch her breasts, I thought, 'you won't have a career when your 40 if you keep doing this'.

I don't mind if actors aren't good, as long as they're action stars. At least they bring something to the table. Well, most of the time.

I like some of his movies, but I get creeped out by Michael Douglas. I always think of a lizard when I see him.

Oh, and Dennis Quad. I came to the realization recently that, for a guy that's been around so long, he doesn't have any movies that he makes his own. What memorable role, classic character has he played? I can't think of any, or any characters name of any of his characters. Russell has Snake, Stallone has Rocky, Hopkins has Hannibal, Dennis Quad has.................?

I couldn't believe how much I liked Dredd!!! It looks beautiful, and I love Dredd's gun. Do you know how many women in action movies are useless, pretty much damsels in distress? Well, Dredd's sisdekick is an awesome character, one of the best parts of the movie

I don't know. Danny Boyle is rumored to direct the next one. Of his movies, I've only seen 28 Days Later, which was great, but I don't know if he's a good pick or not. Most of his movies are highly regarded so eh, it's probably a good choice.
Christopher Nolan is indeed a good one. Apparently he's a huge Bond fan, and you can tell from his movies: the shoes with blades from From Russia With Love in The Dark Knight, the snow base from On Her Majesty's Secret Service in Inception and the plane hijack from Licence to Kill in The Dark Knight Rises. He wouldn't be a bad choice at all, however I don't think he will direct the next Bond film. He seems to exclusively work for Warner Bros, and the Bond franchise is owned by Columbia / MGM, so that's a bit of a problem.
I really want David Fincher to direct. He's one of my favorite directors, and I'm interested to see if he can direct action well. By the way, you need to see Se7en ;P!

Ah, that's a little unfortunate. Still, if you do know what *happens* to *someone* in the end, it's well worth a watch. It's still very mysterious, dark as hell and it still manages to surprise you. Definitely one of David Fincher's best. It's not quite as atmospheric as Zodiac, but I do think Se7en is the more intense and interesting of the two. I love it.

Any plans to see Ghost Rider 2? It was a huge letdown for me. I saw the trailer, and thought that they had improved. I found it extremely stupid and boring. The most annoying thing is, the best parts of the trailer didn't have anything extra. I hate when they show the best parts in the trailer! The only parts I liked was a Cage freakout on the bike, and that the skull looked much more dirty and burnt compared to the original.

To be perfectly honest, I can't remember names of episodes, or what favourite parts of mine are in what episodes. I loved the 'my lovely horse' song, and Mrs Doyle falling over. Oh, and anything Jack said. It's a terrible shame that Dermot Morgan died, but I wonder, would Jack's schtick got tiresome with other series? Or would it evolved.

I'd go for Timecrimes over Ghost Rider 2 any day! I also hated Wes Bentley AND Peter Fonda, really awful acting. If you like Timecrimes, you may want to test your concentration level with Primer, another time travel movie that get's more and more confusing. I don't know, I loved it, but it might not be your cup of tea.

Yeah, a really, really bad leg break. I'll leave it at that. AFL also has some terrible leg breaks. A new rule has come in this year that penalizes against people sliding their body into players legs. Other injuries like dislocated knees as well. One player, Darren Cresswell, was lying on the ground with his knee popped out. He bashed his knee until it went in, then kept playing. :)

I always laugh when Americans try vegemite. They always put way too much on! It's always about five layers too thick. :) They showed a report on the news that New York has now got a street full of Aussie shops. One has vegemite, his asking price is $20 a jar, he's sold out!

That's cool that your open to trying something different. You can get kangaroo pretty much anywhere. There's a croc farm in Queensland where you cab go look at the crocs swim around. Then go back and eat them off the men, while overlooking them! :D

It's a good time to go to Darwin now. I plan to in about eight weeks. It'll be a bit cooler that the usual 40 to 50 degrees. It's funny to me, when I was up there last year some days it was 25 degrees, beautiful days, and the locals had jumpers on, they were freezing! In the airport, I was in shorts and a shirt, the girl next to me had a hoodie, ug boots, and a big blanket wrapped around her. :)

200 comments buddy! :D

Kangaroos are bastards! If you ever eat one, don't feel guilty. They stand by roads, then wait until a car comes, then decide to frigging jump out! Such stupid animals! They just destroy cars, very dangerous! They also murder dogs. They grab them and hold them underwater, or lean back on their tail and use their feet to rip open the dogs belly. Plus they are cowards. If an animal is after them, they throw out the baby in the pouch so they can get away. What about those maternal instincts. :)

I got a funny story about emus. My granddad was a farmer. He saw some emus on his farm and grabbed his gun that had a sight that was out of line. He wasn't going to shoot at them, just shoot so they left. The emus must of seen him and started running. He lined up his shot so it would miss, then fired. As the two emus ran past each other, the bullet went straight through all of their eyes! Grandad was shocked, he couldn't believe what he just witnessed. He couldn't of done that again, even if he tried. :)

Oh, another emu story. In a paddock with cows , there is all these emus. My dad was driving by when he saw a bunch of cows circling a baby emu! They started kicking it! He didn't see what happened, but he thinks they kicked it to death. I didn't know cows could be such bastards! I'd like to see them try that on a bigger one.

Now I have a story about a cow! Oh how this is evolving. :) I was at work, when all of a sudden bunch of cows, goats and sheep were wandering around, even into the offices. It was found out that they came from out of town, about two kilometres away! It was just funny to see these random animals together. :D The next day I was told the backstory to this misfit animal gang. They used to be on another farm before the one they are on now, they were abused and poorly looked after. They were then rescued and put on the new farm. Now they stick together and are inseparable. The goat is the leader, they go wherever it goes. I can't tell how funny it looked to see a cow and sheep following this goat around. :D It's a nice story really, hopefully they aren't separated.

I just finished Senna, Kate. I thought it was awesome! I didn't know one thing about Senna before watching, his story really interesting, and sad. it also taught me a few things about F1, which wouldn't be hard. :)

You would know better than me, how accurate was the doc in portraying Senna and Prost? I'm just wondering if they left any key details out to show a person in a certain way.

I thought Casa De Mi Padre was pretty good, but I was letdown. You may like it more than me. It may be a movie I like more if I re-watch it, it happened with Anchorman.

The Master was amazing. The first processing scene had me so tense, so well done! :) Freddie at the start made me laugh when he's acting crazy. Like when he's putting the lights on that guy twice his size, and uhumm, his bare ass. :D Would you agree that Freddie is the master?

You probably don't want to know what's in most food Kate. The old fella that I used to work for told me that his wife used to work at lolly factory, where the lollies are prepared. As they were working, ingredients would fall on the ground where everyone would step on them. People would walk in and out of the toilet, stepping on all of them (do you see where this is going?). At the end of the day, the boss would get them to scoop it all up, then get them to prepare them to sell. Gross.

In the 80's it happened. They made a tv show about it called Underbelly. Each season follows different gangsters and police trying to catch them, or help them. The first season is about Carl Williams, look him up if you've never heard of him. One of the worst criminals ever from Australia. They also made three movies. My cousin was in Underbelly: The Man Who Got Away as a cop! Hilarious for me to see! She got a great part though, it's one of the biggest.

There was so many times that you though the movie was about to take the easy way out and go "chick flick" charming, but it was pretty brutal. That movie was raw emotion, and Gosling may be in the top 3 actors alive right now, definitely in my top 3 favorite.

And yes, I was going to write that I laughed when the dad started strangling his son, but I thought that sounded terrible so I left it out. Glad I wasn't the only one that found it funny!

Yeah! So glad you liked it! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see it in 3d because the cinema I went to was only showing 2d. But it really didn't bother me too much because it looked better than most 3d movies anyway (I'm looking at you The Green Hornet!).

When she's in the bath and flicks that water up...... jaw dropping! It made me think, 'hmm, have I had any acid today' :D...... I'm joking, I'm joking, it was the cocaine I snorted. ;) ;) ;)

Dredd's sidekick is so awesome! She's good enough to have her own movie! That's how they should have women in ALL the movies, not the damsel in distress over, and over again.

Dredd was unfortunately a failure at the box office. I was annoyed because I thought a sequel wouldn't happen. But the Blu Ray has sold so well, that they've made plans for a sequel. Fingers crossed that it happens!

I really can't see how you cannot like The Raid now. It's fantastic!

I think it may be a few things

1. The bad name associated with Judge Dredd because of the Stallone movie

2. No one watches violent action movies in the cinema! I don't know why, but heaps of them bomb

3. Yeah, unfortunately, another factor is because of no recognizable faces.

Pretty much like movies Kate, I can jump into any type of game as long as I enjoy it, I don't exclude purely because of a genre.

I finished Red Dead Redemption, then the zombie version. :) Both are awesome games!

You'd be in heaven if you saw my collection Kate. Max Payne 3, Skyrim, God of War 3 and Sleeping Dogs are only just a few I have. I own a ps3, it's becoming daunting with the new console coming to try and finish all of the games! Plus something is wrong with my controller! Listen to me, I have so much troubles! Too much awesome stuff to get through. ;)

I bought Tomb Raider the other day. I'm hoping to play it soon.

Do you have Judge Dredd rated? That's usually why the arrow doesn't point.

Sleeping Dogs was fantastic! It's like a martial arts gta. I always see what I can, and can't do in these games. Did I check whether I could throw an old man off a building? You betcha! Pretty bad for an undercover cop. :D But seriously, it's great. When you're on a motorbike and hit a jump, it goes into slow-mo so you can take out some guys, plus aim where you want to land.

Yeah, I meant that Desperado. I love From Dusk Till Dawn, but it seems like it wouldn't be for you as much as Desperado because of the horror elements. I might be wrong though.

Oh, I'm really loving this older song from The Saints called 'I'm Stranded'. I heard it on an Aussie show called Spirited that Kate wrote for, now I can't get it out of my head.

The first Saw isn't too bad, it's the movies that follow that really get awful with the torture. Don't get me wrong, the first has some pretty disgusting scenes, but it's definitely the best of all of them.

I think you might like From Dusk Till Dawn then. :) It's pretty outrageous horror, nothing that'll freak you out. If you end up liking Desperado, maybe you'll like the sequel Once Upon a Time in Mexico with Johnny Depp.

I don't like Hostel either. I have a thing about eyes, and one scene really put me in a dark place for a few hours after watching it. It's probably mild compared to A Serbian Film, though. But I'm NEVER watching that, NEVER!!

Also, never watch a movie called Martyrs, you'll be sorry if you do. :)

Yeah, the comedy in both movies just make the movies even better. The director of Disrtict 9 has a movie out this year called Elysium. I can't wait! Sharlto Copely returns, but this time he's one of the villains. Matt Damon and Jodie Foster are also in the movie.

Yeah, Rush looked pretty good! If it works out with timing, I'd give it a shot in the cinema.

Marron is a crayfish from West Australia, but you can see it on fancy menus in restaurants elsewhere, Probably not over there. The marron season is very short, so everybody goes crazy trying to catch them. They all have secret spots, that they try to keep to themselves. Doesn't stop other people trying to find out. :)

You have a bunch of nets that you throw along the the bank. The nets have food in the middle, like pellets, wrapped in a stocking.

Then you have to wait. Later you go around, grab the rope, and pull as hard as you can! If you're lucky, the net has turned into a cage, and you have a huge marron flapping about.

You always grab a marron from behind the claws, and push them together, you don't want to be caught by them. They can also scare people if they're not ready when it starts flapping.

Personally, I got put off marroning when I was younger. Every time I pulled a net, doesn't matter how fast I was going, Dad would say "you got to pull faster! Quick! Quick! Quick! Quick!" aargghhhh!!!! I don't know how fast Dad thought he was going, but it wasn't so fast that he should be annoying me all the time. In the last year I went with him, he let me pull one net, all day! Now, he doesn't understand me being put off by it.

Matt Corby wrote 'brother' after he slept with his friends girlfriend, and then had a falling out with him. The songs is about himself. Oh, and you're right, his lashes are to die for. ;) He also was a grand finalist on Australian Idol when he was younger, but lost. It looked like he was going to be like Justin Bieber, but he took about five years off to work on his own style.

I'm going to look up that song right now. Have you heard of Laura Marling?

Well, I need to keep my line to the throne, so I love them!! Nah, I couldn't care less about them. If I got told the queen was 30 mins away, I don't think I bother to go see her. Except to make a scene by yelling "I'm your cousin!' from an awkward distance away. :D

As far as everybody else, I think it's about 50/50 to what we feel about them. Many people don't want the connection to England anymore. But if we came independent, we wouldn't get to choose the president. we once had a referendum, and that's the reason people said no.

I think i'm going to watch Aussie Errol Flynn's Dive Bomber. I also plan to watch ep 2 of Game of Thrones and a movie starring another Aussie Radha Mitchell in Visitors.

I just thought I'd share about my other cat. His name was Ashley Pumkinhead (I know, I named him when I was young). His name was inspired by his rather large head. Now Ashley had the body to go along with his head, he was huge!! A good head taller than Minnie when full grown. Yet, he was scared of everything. My old house has a verandah about 3 metres high, I came out with my new shirt in hand, he would ridiculously jump off the verandah onto the hard ground! If I had a new hat, off the verandah he'd go. To stop him, I'd have to say his name quickly, and click my fingers, he would then be fine. I would then hold my hand up in the air, and he'd jump up and touch it with his head.

At night, Minnie would be allowed into the house sometimes. Ashley wouldn't, because he would never sit still, and put fur everywhere. But when he did, Minnie would get extremely jealous. Where I sit, there was a glass top table in front of me, she would go under there and glare at him! Whenever he would go by my legs, she would fly out and hit him in the face! :D But he'd never react. One reason is because he doesn't have a violent bone in his body, and two, because he's shit scared of her. I just want to point out that no matter what happened, they never drew their claws.

But one night Ashley had enough! Minnie had just finished hitting in the face, and he was sulking up on the lounge. Five minutes went by, when all of a sudden...... Ashley starts meowing, louder and louder he got, until, he launched himself about a metre from the lounge, straight onto Minnie! It was on! Minnie is much smaller, but she's tough. To protect her kittens, she jumped on the back of a dog five times her size! The dog friggin ran off! Minnie and Ashley fought for a good five minutes! Each copping blows. But the eventual winner was Ashley. He then went by the fire and had a sleep. Not before testing out the handle on the fireplace! He's very dumb. After, she'd still hit him in the face, and he'd take it. I just think he wanted to make a point.

But it was nice relationship as well. When they were outside, they would sleep next to each other in the sun, and when he was close enough, she would clean him. But it was always funny to see her signal that she's had enough. It was either to bite him on the face and ear, or to hit him in the face. Motherly love. :D Minnie is snoring right now! :D

He would protect he from other cats too. One night a big ginger tomcat came into the yard and was chasing Minnie. Now, Ashley is a huge cat, this cat was a head taller than him! But that didn't stop him, he flew out from under the house and hit this cat at full speed. They then ran around the corner. By the time I got there, they were staring each other down (this is when I saw how big the cat was). Ashley had a big mouthful of ginger fur. :D I then chased the other cat away, I never saw it again. It messed with the wrong cat!

But jumping from high places came at a cost for Ashley. I hadn't seen him for a few days, I was worried. Then one morning he came over with a sore paw that was out of shape. But he learned to live with it. He could still walk on it, even run. But that wasn't the worst problem. Ashley had a white nose, which made it easier for him to get skin cancer. It was very sad, but we kept him alive while he was still fine and happy. The day I put my hand in the air, and it took all his effort to jump up, i knew that it was time. I could see how sad he was.

The day he was to be put down I had to work. As I was leaving, he was there waiting for me. I picked him and hugged him, I knew it was the last time I would see him. I'm not ashamed to say, I broke down a bit. I'll also admit that it was very hard to write this part down. I also know hard it was for Minnie, she wasn't the same for months.

I know he's just an animal, but he was a big part of my life growing up. One of the memories that stick with me the most is, despite the poor leg and weak from his nose, he chased a cat out of the backyard, jumped the fence, and ran down the road about ten metres. When i got to him, he was spent, breathing deeply, partly because of his condition, but also angrily about this cat that came into his territory!

He provided countless laughs and happiness. I hope you understand why it was tough to write parts of this.

Ashley was 15.

Thank you for your kind thoughts Kate, seriously. I'm very sorry about your cat. Growling at thunderstorms! Chasing a fox! That would be funny.

I'm glad you're loving Matt Corby......and his eyelashes. :D yeah, that "aaaahhh" part in Buster Fantastic's song threw me out when I first saw it, I didn't see that coming. :)

I felt how low budget it was. Plus it had awful acting and weak script. She's on a boat right, she sailing around the world, would would think she'd be prepared. Yet, she gets cabin fever after one day on the boat! Well, that's how it seemed anyway. If more time had elapsed, they didn't do a very good job of showing it. Some of the acting was atrocious! It was supposed to be scary, but when 'scary' parts happened, I was bored.

Too much Maggie Grace in Taken 2. All you want from a Taken movies Liam Neeson killing people. What you don't need is Maggie Grace driving in a car chase, and running around throwing grenades. That's another thing, out of the WHOLE top of that building she could of thrown that grenade, she decides to throw it under some person's car! I'm sorry, but whatta bitch. :) oh, I could also see the dropped rating too. In Australia, the first Taken was MA15+. Taken 2 was M15+, a grade lower. I especially noticed when at the end Neeson smashes the main bad guys head on the corner. Where was the impact? I saw it, but I didn't think it looked very painful. Things like that ruined the movie for me.

Black Keys are awesome, I agree.

Oh, Taken 2 director Olvier Megaton knows how to wreck a movie in a franchise. Have you seen Transporter 3? If you haven't, don't! It's actually boring, a Transporter movie! Plus the girl in the movie is ten times worse than Maggie Grace. One of the worst actresses I've ever seen. She was a waitress before Luc Besson spotted her in the restaurant. Think how awesome the girl in Dredd is.... She's the exact opposite.

Actually, I'm a big fan of young De Niro and Pacino. They're mere shadows now, compared to what they used to be. Have you seen Righteous Kill? It's the second time they acted together. I love Heat a bit more than you. Mainly because two of my favourite actors are Pacino and De Niro, until they became parodies of themselves. I also love the shootout in the streets, and the diner scene.

Do you get hassled on buses Kate? I'd imagine most people are in their own world in the morning, no one making eye contact with each other.

Very bad day at work. One of the bosses didn't do their job properly, and the mistake that was made looks like mine. It happened 2/12 hours ago, and I'm still furious. I really hate when people's incompetence makes me look bad. ESPECIALLY because I've asked her to double check since Friday!! Four times I asked, yet she still didn't do it,. It's worthy of a swearing moment, but I'll try to keep a lid on it. :) I hate being mad, so when I am, i get really mad. However, I don't yell, I keep as calm as possible on the outside, while my brain is overheating. :) I had a chance to yell at her, but i didn't, sometimes i think i'm too nice. But I've been told that I'm quite intimating when I'm angry, even in small arguments (probably because of my height) so I didn't want to do it to a 50 year old woman. I think I'll watch Vampire's Kiss tonight to make me happy again. Oh, and The Mighty Boosh. Actually, ( just mowed the lawn feeling better) when Cage is yelling "just put it in the right file!" that's kinda how I felt in my head (excluding the signs of psychosis) I was thinking " just check where we are up to"

I'm writing this down as a way of pushing it out of my brain, releasing the pent-up anger. Hope you don't mind being on the receiving end of it Kate. :) I've told a few people, but even now, I feel much better now I've got it out of my system. :) I was having a great day too. Hope you enjoyed your day off Kate! I also hope work is fine when you get back! See, I like being nice! :) I'm now on countdown to Darwin. :)

Bogan is what we call an Aussie that drinks too much, doesn't dress well, or very Aussie, with a singlet, footy shorts, and thongs.* They also have a strong pride for "Awwwstraylia". They commonly don't like people from other countries, and usually have no teeth in their head.

But that's the older version. The younger bogan is the same, but love to get into fights with people. They will target people that are Muslim and knock them out. Bogans are usually the ones that knock other
Aussies out for no reason as well.

The women are just as bad now. One woman a couple of months ago punched a cop in the back of the head, knocked him out, for no reason! She wasn't even in trouble, she just thought it would be funny. It wasn't funny to her when she was crying in the courtroom.

I saw that many English people loved Magaret Thatcher's death.

*That's what we call flip flops.

I'm very sorry that you had such a bad day. That sucks about the paperwork! It's the things out of your control that annoy me, and sounds the same for you too. Try to keep a :) on your face, I know it's hard sometimes. I'm glad you're alright now. :)

I'm glad you liked the 'like a version' covers. I was going to tell you about them the other day, but I forgot about it. :) Oh well, you found them.

I did notice the sound, very funny. :)

Never played Alphajax, maybe I'll give it a go. I had given Songpop a break for about three months because the new setup was annoying me. But I'm back into it! I'm a little bit rusty, but I'm holding my own. I was 5-0 against one person from London, and 14-0 against someone from Perth. :) I think they're only new though, so I'm not that happy. I play my friend Sarah at Songpop. I'm doing well, then she throws eurovision at me! Then I've got no chance! :D

That was funny how they call him an icy bastard. I also liked how he was going to steal his shoes.

After such a bad day, I think you should put yourself in a position to be in front all day tomorrow. Get up the right foot, then keep it in front for the rest of the day. I think that'll be a good way to keep happier, unless someone messes with you e.g paperwork. Oh, maybe no Matt Corby in the morning. ;) Good Luck!

I think it's great that you admitted to crying, not every one would dare. It's fantastic you enjoyed the song so much..... Maybe not the best place to do it, but oh well, it's in the past. Now you'll remember the first time you heard the song, and the effect it had on you. :) If it makes you feel any better, I downplayed how I was feeling writing about Ashley Pumkinhead.... I was a total mess! I hope you don't judge me, I didn't judge you. But i don't think you will. :) Men have to keep that stuff to themselves, but I'll tell you (and anyone else reading this!). People at the moment stupidly think I bash people! So I definitely don't want the same people to know about me crying. Especially a tall guy like me, then oh how the mocking would begin! I hope I don't sound like a big wuss! I rarely cry, just so you know. :) I'm just prepared to be completely honest. :)

If you ever get songpop, you can play me if you want. :) You don't have to, I'm just being nice, that's what I do! :)

I'm glad I inadvertently help you with Alphajax. :D

Oh, yeah I've seen that Lonely Island song. It's very funny.

Some of Grinspoon's songs are about drugs. But now he's clean, he had to go to rehab. Songs like 'comeback' deal with this.

Have you seen Bo Burnham on YouTube? I laugh at his song 'words, words, words'.

I loved it! To be honest, the cast was so powerful I though Rockwell was going to blend in a bit........... and I was completely wrong. So very enjoyable! I really need to watch it again, he killed me when he said “Honey, I meant like chlamydia or something.” and the end of his shootout scene when Harrelson says: "Peace is for queers, now you're going to die." Walken was funny to me, too, but he always is in a goofy role.

Descendants was good, but you're right it is challenging emotionally. Also, do you think Clooney's performance warranted an Oscar nod? I don't get it... he's adequate as an actor in my book.

I see you really liked Scarface, I go back and forth on how much a like it.

I don't know if you have it in your country, but the Scarface following in the US is almost enough to make me not want to like it. It is worshiped by all the wrong types of people. I know I shouldn't make the movie guilty by association, because it is a good movie.

Bloody hell (autocorrect doesn't like me saying hell! :D) Kate! You weren't kidding when you said you loved The Shining! 97% is very high for someone not keen on horror movies. :) You made me laugh picturing you holding a pillow while watching. :D It's pretty hard to top The Shining Kate, so it'll be hard to recommend anything. But I'll try my best to recommend similar movies. Just give me a little bit of time to put it together. A movie that comes to mind that's like that's like The Shining is Suspiria, but I don't recommend that, a bit too much death in that one!

I just watched 'Dick in a Box' and loved it! :D I'll have to try it someday. ;) Have you seen 'Like a Boss' ft. Seth Rogen- Uncensored Version?

Just saw the poster for Thor. It looks great.

Anzac Day is next week, and yes, it's THE biggest day for Australia. Everyone gets up at the crack of dawn to pay respect to the soldiers. Then we go home and watch the traditional Anzac Day footy match of Essendon Bombers vs. Collingwood Magpies, which will have 100,000 people in the stands. I'll be having four days off work, Anzac Day falls on a Thursday, so we worked extra hours so we didn't have to come in on Friday. I'll need it, that women at work made me angry on Friday again, but I'll leave it alone, so you don't have to hear about it. :)

Damn! I was going to recommend We Need to Talk About Kevin and Misery, but you've seen both! Glad you liked them, still showing good taste in movies. :) I would also said to look away at a certain part in Misery....... You know what part I mean. :)

I thought about it some more, here's some you might want to look up. If you want to ask me any questions about any, feel free to do so. :)

The Strangers
Rosemary's Baby
1408
The Orphanage
Magic (watched it on YouTube)
Drag Me to Hell
Hard Candy....... 50/50 on that one.

If I think of anymore I'll tell you. I really try my best with recommendations. :)

Have you ever thought of watching Once?

While I'm at it, here's some foreign language films I like. Again, you can ask about any if you wish. :) I'll leave out the horror films that you won't like. :)

City of God
Rififi
A Separation
Elite Squad 1 and 2
M
The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
The Killer
TrollHunter (I think you could handle it)
Kontroll
Downfall
Headhunters
Three Colours: Blue
Cell 211
A Better Tomorrow 1 and 2
Micmacs

I know that's a lot, but like I said, I enjoy helping. You probably wouldn't like all of them, but if you saw one that you liked that you've never heard of, that would be great. :)

I absolutely loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It's a beautiful, funny, yet sad movie. I also found the acting fantastic, especially Lerman, Watson and Miller. Ezra Miller was especially interesting to watch after such a different performance in We Need to Talk About Kevin. I really cared what happened to all the characters. I thought Charlie treated Mary Elizabeth horribly, not only not kissing her in the dare, but the overall lack of respect put me off him a bit. What do you think?

I also really enjoyed the friendship between Mr Anderson (I couldn't help thinking of The Matrix) and Charlie. Oh, and I loved any of the tunnel scenes, they were reminiscent of The Intouchables.. One thing that kinda annoyed me was that one minute, no one likes Charlie, the next, three people put the moves on him. I just found it unrealistic. However, I'd give it a 9.5/10. Yep, I really enjoyed it, I couldn't get the smile off my face..... Except for the aunt bit, I was hoping the whole movie that wasn't going to happen.

I enjoyed Silver Linings Playbook a bit more than you Kate. For a romantic comedy, I thought it was a cut above the usual crap that has Kate Hudson in it. I personally think that Jackie Weaver's role could of been a bit larger. I enjoyed her, but an Oscar nom surprised me. It might be because I saw her as a lead in a play she did with Kate. She was absolutely amazing as a gambling addict! Have you seen Animal Kingdom? She's also fantastic in that Oscar nominated performance. I really enjoyed seeing De Niro actually in a good movie for the first time in years., and I agree, Jennifer Lawrence was a surprise winner, but I don't mind too much because she seems like a down to earth person. It's about a 8.5/10 for me. However, you make good points, I see where you're coming from.

100% agree with you about Winter's Bone Kate. She was much better in that movie. Now I think about it, I agree with you about Mary Elizabeth. She was quite rude at times, especially not letting him speak on the phone. I think how she asked him out warmed me to her. Now I think, what a cow. :)

Love the change to Thor, Kate!

The mistake with Rise Against and Rage Against the Machine makes me want to share a story.

I've known my friend Sarah for about seven years. Last year she was working with me when she was pregnant. We would have a laugh, work hard, and the days would go by easily. She would get tired at work, so I watched her like a hawk! I'd help her out any way I could to make it easier for her. She'd bring in these Irish lollies that tasted like apple. I couldn't get enough of them. :)

One day we were talking about music. She likes a variety, but she was saying how she loved older music like Otis Redding, but she couldn't find it in the shops. I asked her why she didn't get it from the Internet. She said she likes physical copies. I was going to Perth on the weekend, so I was going to try and find that c.d. I didn't tell her, though. :)

When I got to Perth, the first item I looked for in Jb-Hi-Fi was Otis Redding's greatest hits. I was up and down the aisles, but I couldn't find it. I really don't like how they've set up their music! I gave up...... Twice! But I went back a third time to have a look. Right in the corner, in a collection of six CDs, I found it! I was thinking, ooh, that'll make Sarah happy! :)

On Monday, I chickened out bringing the cd to work. :D For some reason I had a bad feeling, like my subconscious was withholding important information. :) I got to work and just worked for a bit, then I asked.

"Hey Sarah, what was the artists name you said you liked the other day?"

"Oh, Ben E King, he sings Stand By Me, I can't find the cd anywhere"

"Oh........... I thought you said you liked Otis Redding?"

"Otis Redding? You're the one who kept talking about Otis Redding, I don't even know what he sings, I don't know why you keep thinking that!"

:O :O :O :O :O :O :O :O :O

Three days go by............................. And I've been carrying this with me all week. Do I tell her? Do I throw the cd out? Do I put the music on my iPad?...... I decided to tell her.

I tell her I've got something to get off my chest that i've been carrying around all week. But she had to be gentle about it. :D She unexpectadly gets very excited and calls her brother over. Oh, her brother is my friend too. She calls the other Shane over (they call it Shaneing when we are talking :D) and tells him what I said. They're now staring at me, making me feel awkward and nervous. :D I tell them to catch up on their work, then I'll tell them. This gave me some time to think what to say, but not much! It was good motivation really, they caught up in a couple of minutes! :)

Now they're are back looking at me, I'm regretting this quite a bit at this stage. :) I start hesitantly asking Sarah if she remembered our conversations about music. She's laughing saying yes. I then reminded her that I went to Perth on the weekend. All of a sudden she bursts out laughing! She's got it! Shane's laughing too, but he has no bloody idea what's happening! :D

"You bought an Otis Redding c.d!!!!"

She explained it to her brother while trying to compose herself. :D

I said " That's why I brought up music again on Monday, I had a bad feeling"

She starts laughing more.

She says " I wish you brought it in, and were like "here you go" I would of looked at you like "what the fuck is this?" She's laughing away. :)

But it was only friendly laughing. They didn't mock me. I think they knew I wouldn't handle it. :) They both said it was very nice of me, and that it's the thought that counts. :)

She ended up taking the c.d. She said she loved it, but she might be only telling me that. :) Oh, she had the baby, a little boy. :) She took an awkward photo of me holding the baby, the whole time I was worried I was going to drop him. :O It didn't help where she put him in my arms! His head was right on the edge of my elbow! She gave me three bags of apple lollies for work, now that she was gone. :)

I hope you had a laugh at me. :) I know it's very long, but i thought it was worth telling.

I don't know if these songs are your style....... But I'll put them down anyway. :)

I'm really enjoying Living Colour 'Asshole' 'Behind the Sun' and 'Cult of Personality'. I'm enjoying Rival Schools 'Used for Glue' and Mastodon 'Oblivion'. I hate most of Mastodon's music, but I bloody love this song! The chorus is so catchy for me! It also a very personal song. It's about the drummer's sister dying at birth. Very sad. :(

Awww shucks, you're too kind. :) I'm glad you loved the story, I was hoping you would. :) See, I really do try my best for my friends. :)

That's nice about the baby. You've got the magic touch Kate.

I think I'm going to have to come to London and take Matt Corby away from you! You're listening to him way too much. :D Nah! I'm glad you love it. It makes me very happy. :)

Yeah, I know what you mean about Mastodon. But 'Oblivion' is very different. I love how the song builds and builds. I also love the three singers. The drummer(his sister died) starts the singing, then the other two have their own sections to sing. I always love when the chorus kicks in! If it's too heavy, that's fine. :)

I'm very glad the marathon went smoothly and no one was hurt. I hope your friend did well!

Haha Kate would be thrilled! She gets to do it with Hamish (her boyfriend) because he's in the movie as well. Oh, it's not quite my thing, but check out Hamish's band Parallel Lions, you might like them. :) I found a few songs I like.

We had the public holiday for her birthday ages ago! There goes the only reason to follow that! :D

It's raining here. :( But, like I said, only three days of work this week! :D :D I'm going to watch Oblivion and Iron Man 3 on the weekend. Maybe another one. :)

I watched The Triplets of Belleville. That's a fantastic movie! Very quirky and very funny! Plus it's go no dialogue, but you don't miss it. I appreciated the quick run time, and it's got a very well done action scene close to the end. It's probably a solid 9/10 for me.

Have a good day at work Kate! And don't wear out the Matt Corby c.d. :D

Oh, I also found some of the imagery in The Triplets of Belleville to be disturbing. Not in a scary way, just very unsettling. I can't go without mentioning the dog. I love the dog in this film! Watching the clock for when the train comes... And then running upstairs to bark at the passengers. :) I won't mention all the weird moments. I think it's better to experience them without knowledge. If you can't tell, I really, really enjoyed this film. Maybe watch it after a bad day, it'll put a smile on your face. :)

It stopped raining, but it looks like it'll rain for Anzac Day. :( Oh well, the soldiers had to put up with a lot more than some rain. I think we can handle it. :) Four days off is going to be awesome. Someone from work went by just now. He said "I hope so, four days wooohooooo!!" I don't like him. :D

It'll probably be a Saturday (Friday to you) when I watch Iron Man 3 as well. Oblivion is a very divisive movie on Flickchart. It's either around 50%, or 95%! I think I'll definitely watch it.

I'll take full responsibility for your obsession with Corby ;) But your love for his eyelashes.... That's all on you. :D Did you know it took the commercial radio stations a year before they played 'Brother' regularly!?

Any video games you pumped to play Kate?

Just so you know, talking to you puts a smile back on my face after a hard day at work. I'm kinda stone faced at work, especially with no Shane or Sarah anymore. The German that guessed I was the Queen's cousin is good value though. :) I hope I don't sound corny, I'm just being honest, you're fun! :) Oh, there's this compulsive liar at work. He said he was glassed on the weekend and needed 47 stitches in his head! Yet none of his head was shaved! :D He also lies about how much money he has. He told me $30,000, another guy $60,000, another $65,000 and another $75,000! :D He also told me once he had schizophrenia, and if he didn't take a pill the white of his eyes turned black, and the colour turned red. :D Oh, he also said he was a professional speedboat driver! :D

Okay, seeya! I'm off to see if Sarah has played me at songpop. She nudged me to play, then when I played her, she didn't play back! :D Women, hey. ;)

Thank you for saying that you might get Corby to play in your garden. I had just got out of bed, I was tired, and when i saw that, it instantly made me feel better. :) Then when I was at work, brother came on! I was having mixed emotions. I was angry from something at work, yet smiling away also. I don't think I've ever felt so angry and happy at the same time! :D Happiness won the day, yay! Oh, that was a great Elmer Fudd impression! ;) I've never played a Monster Hunter game, just XBox?

Today the liar said his dad had a big truck that he drives crazy in the fields, he wants to go work in the mines(big dollars in that!) and despite the last thing, he wants to become an apprentice chef. :D I'm very good at keeping a straight face Kate! :D I know I have to or I'll miss out on all these great stories. Oh, he also has a girlfriend that no one has met and a brand new ute...... Despite the fact he walks everywhere. :) Oh, one more, you may not like it, but you WILL listen! ;) He's got a tattoo above his pubes. :O

Nah, sorry I Watched The Triplets of Belleville on the telly.

Because they're idiots Kate! That's why it took so long to get Corby on the radio. I don't know what you think of the stuff on the radio, but many songs are really awful. Good luck on getting a gig buddy, buddy. Just keep changing the subject back to Matt Corby, that should do it.! :) Use what you were talking about prior as a segue into another conversation about the Corbmeister. No matter how weird the segue! :D

Sarah said she will, but I don't know, she might get used to not working here. She's great though, very hard worker. I admired her for what she did while she was pregnant. That's why I had no problem helping her out. What kind of guy would I be if I didn't anyway? On top of that she's a friend, and as I said, I help my friends. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that the outfits Kate were trying on had a 20's look to them, so to suit the movie. :) I also really appreciate the offer to play alphajax or songpop. I wish we could, I think it would be fun. :)

It's easy for people to lie on the Internet, but I'm telling ya, I really loved 100k! I'll tell you aggressively................ to get my point across. :) I'm buying a bloody $50 iTunes card and buying the bloody rockin song! You picking' up what I'm puttin' down!? I'll also go back through all your stinkin' messages and buying the other songs you recommended as well! You dig!? Have a nice day. :)

He wouldn't top Matt Corby, but give Xavier Rudd a try. 'Let Me Be' was his huge song.

They mine everything Kate. It's a real boom industry, but it's slowing down now. But depending on your job, your looking at between $80,000 and $300,000 a year.

The liar had another good one. He said that at luck time he had to stick a needle in his neck because he ate a bit of chocolate cake.............. And he's allergic to chocolate! :D :D :D Now I don't know about you Kate, but if I was allergic to chocolate, I'd be diligent about that shit! He said his throat was swelling up, yet, he's fine! Lunch break isn't very long, he's an amazing healer! Man, I don't know where he pulls these stories from! :D

That's pretty cool radio station by the sound of it! We used to have a good one called red fm. They played rock songs all day! Fantastic! Then one day I turned on the radio and Britney Spears 'Circus' was playing. I was like 'butwhaaaahhhh'. :) The station was never the same. :( We really don't get many options, we are far away, and the trees interfere quite a bit. Nothing but bloody trees for miles around! Everywhere you look! I guess you would say 'Nothing but buildings! For miles around!' :)

I know all to well about annoying ads on the radio! One was about being remote and needing maintenance. In the ad he yells "if you're remote!!" but it doesn't echo! So he yells "I said, if you're remote, remote, remote, remote!!" Every time it played, I died a little inside. :)

You probably have, but have you heard of a platypus? The German at work didn't know whati was talking about. :)

Yes, big spiders. But it's not like they're running around everywhere. I don't want to scare you, but you don't want to get bitten by a white-tail spider. A bite from them causes skin lesions. Look on YouTube if you're up to it. :) But really, don't let it put you off coming here, I've never been bitten by a spider.

I had one close call. I was down Windy Harbour, I look down, and there's this big spider near my foot! Naturally, I jumped! The spider took off, and went underground! It was a funnel web spider, which I've never seen before. They're not even supposed to be over here! They're only found in the eastern states! With kids around, I had to kill it. I opened the latch, and stuck the hose down the hole. I turned on the tap and flooded it. It came out and I stomped it! :)

Other bad spiders are the red back, mouse and the common garden orb weaver spiders. The latter hangs in gardens, very bad in the mornings. They're not deadly, but are aggressive.

Funnel webs are bad, but anti venom is very effective I heard.

Huntsman spiders are bad also. But not from the bite, but the shock they give when someone sees them. Car crashes occur because they run very fast, and are very intimating. But they do eat bugs, so you might like them. But personally, I wouldn't want a big spider like that in my house! It's the eyes, you can feel them looking at you! :) Look the huntsmen up.

Good idea about not looking up the white-tail. The bite can affect you for a year. Very bad.

Thor is probably my favorite movie in the Marvel Avengers series, and its funny you bring up Idris Elba because I think he is one of the most underutilized actors out there. I heard a rumor he might be the next James Bond, but he confirmed it was only a rumor...(segway)... but I'm not a huge James Bond fan, but the movie was really pleasing to the eye to watch.

Also, I need you to settle something for me. I had a debate about fish in chips the other day as I was eating it. We have chips (skinny, crispy potatoes) and fries (the long ones), but you guys call chips "crisps" and fries "chips," or did I actually lose that debate?

Hi Kate.

It's Gooby. It's from a terrible movie with the same name I find him quite creepy, he must scare the kids away. ;)

Pools are very common here, but usually in the cities more. When we want a swim, we'll just go to a dam. I went up in a helicopter a few years ago, and that's what amazed me the most. The bloody pools! Every second backyard had a pool.

Yeah, Hungry Jacks. I don't know why they changed it for here. I hope Randy doesn't go on gaveecho's page. I have already played the slang game with gaveecho, all the answers are there! I want to see what his guesses are to our slang.

Thanks for taking the time to write down recommendations, I really appreciate it, you legend! :) If I end up coming your way, I'll try your recommendations. Thank you. :D

Yeah, hahaha! I know it's weird, but I needed you to see it! "do you want this cake" "tadaaaaaaaaa!"

They have a minute silence before the game. It always so fantastic to see 100,000 people paying their respects properly. Not one noise is heard.I'll have to catch it on repeat. That's when me and a friend will be watching Iron Man 3. Have you seen the reviews? It's looking good Kate! :D

Haha! Two of my friends are fisherman, farmers and play tough on the footy field. Yet when a huntsman spider was in their house, they were screaming like little girls. I had to get a broom to take it outside. I was worried about it running up the handle though. :D

I want to ask about accents. I know some different English accents, but can you hear subtle differences in someone? Or is it really just a couple of accents?

This comment will probably reach you when your asleep. I wish you well for tomorrow at work, I also wish you had a long weekend. :( Good to talk to you. Oh, hope your winning at Alphajax! :)

No, I don't watch a lot of TV, but I've definitely been tempted to watch those shows, and Breaking Bad. It is such a commitment to start watching a TV show, and I never get a sense of finality like a movie. The episode ends and I'm like "AGH! Now I have to watch another one right now!" Comedies I like on TV though. What are your favorite TV shows? Comedy and Drama?

Okay where to start! I've got so much to say! First of all, did you notice the face on my profile pic? I decided to combine two of conversations into one pic! :) I was reading up on Burger King and Hungry Jack's. They were one company until legal action in 2001. Burger King lost and had to pay Hungry Jack's 49 million!

I'm glad you liked Once! As you know, I try hard to think of stuff people may like (especially you). So it's great when it works for someone. It's not for my benefit, you know, I just like people happy. Here's a fact that I hope you like. I would consider you my first U.K friend. I hope that sits well with you. :)

I haven't seen it, but I'll tell you in case you want to check it out. Have you heard of The Swell Season? It's the documentary that follows Glen And Mar on a two year world tour that followed Once. But I'll caution you, don't expect anything like the movie.

I just watched Iron Man 3. Wow, I loved it! I had a few problems with it, but I won't go into details. So much better that Iron Man 2. Plus, I wish a theory I had was true, it would of been better. But overall, I thought it was awesome!

Aww, that's very nice Kate that you thought of me. :) You made my night with that comment, and I just watched Iron Man 3! I really can't say it enough Kate, you're just an incredibly nice person.... More people should be like you. Okay, moving on, but seriously...... awesome is the word for you. I'll answer that question. Yes, W.A is short for West Australia. Don't worry about asking any random Aussie on the street these questions...........I'm here bud!

Watching Oblivion tomorrow. I'll tell you what I thought Kate. Enjoy the sun!

I hope I didn't come off desperate for a friend when claiming you as my first U.K friend. I have my friends here that I talk to. I just wanted you to really know how great, and easy, it is to talk to you. :)

Ooh, I love strawberry flavour in chocolate! That sounds nice. I had some toblerone last night, not much, I'm saving it. I love it. I also know what you mean about strawberries. Now it's popped (I nearly wrote pooped) into my head that I really want a chocolate covered strawberry, I haven't had one for ages.

My sister said that her fiancé was laughing in his sleep. She asked him what was so funny, he replied, "A t-rex's mouth! Then slapped his lips together making a eating noise. :D Have you got the sleep talk app? I told them to download it. I wish they had it on last night so I could of listened to him! I recorded myself with sleep talk last night......... Not a peep! So disappointing! I used to play basketball in my sleep when I was younger. I used to yell take the shot! Or give me the ball.... Pass it! Pass it! :D

I just saw the bathing bad salts........ That's hilarious! I wonder how long before they're are banned. :)

Yep, looks like you've that part of me figured out. I try not to over think, but it's hard for me not to. I can see all the angles of how someone could interpret something I said. Do you know what I mean? It's even worse on here where you can't edit anything after it's sent. Like I said, the lyrics of We Are Scientists 'Nice Guys' where they say 'stop over thinking everything' is how I try to react, but it doesn't always work. :) It's a funny combination really. I'm a laid back guy, yet I worry and over think. :) I appreciate you understanding. That was very good picking that up. :) In the future I'll try harder to trust that you'll get what I mean. :) There's still one thing in my head I'm over thinking, but I'm gonna let it go. :D

Glad you liked the T-Rex story! :)

Hope you have/had a good day at work. I hope most the people you work with are decent.

I'll be out for fish and chips with family and friends tonight. I hope the fish is better than last time! I still hope to watch Boosh tonight. :)

Hello Kate. I woke up an hour ago, I really should be sleeping, but I'm wide awake. :)

I like some Green Day, not all of it. I understand what you mean.

Oh, I forgot to say that I watched the next ep of the Boosh! Loved it! It was one of my favourites so far.

I like Inbetweeners much more than Skins also. I must admit, a couple of eps of Skins in season 2 were very good.

I'll move on from interpretation and over thinking. I don't want to over think over thinking. :)

I like some people at work, but I'd consider them work friends, not people I hang out with after work. My friends all have different jobs, plus many live in the town over, so it's easier to see them on the weekends. Man, I would love a cinema so close Kate that we could go without driving for hours.

I'm not putting any pressure on you to do it Kate. I'd only want you to do it if it feels alright. :)

I'm surprised you use 'it's gone walkabout'.

I had snapper and chips. :) It was much better than last time. :) By the off chance you are ever in Fremantle W.A, check out Kailis' Seafood Cafe. It's amazing! Much better than where I went. :)

Oh, whoops, of course you don't know bundies. It's short for bundaberg rum. It's a dark rum named after the town that produces it.

The scarf was actually nice, I didn't want to take it off. Very soft. :D

I remember the Lone Ranger trailer. It looks like a western POTC movie. I'm not sure about it. I blocked my ears and looked at the floor when Into Darkness came on. :) The rest were trailers I've seen before. You'll probably get more up to date trailers than me.

The closest is two hours, but I don't usually go there. I go to Mandurah (3 hours away) to see my sister and a friend. I then watch movies in Rockingham or Perth, which is another hour away. I'm about to walk into the cinema that had the mouse! :O Wish me luck!

Stick your fingers in your ears and yell blahblahblahblahblah! I could still hear parts of Into Darkness because I didn't do that.I'm sure the people around you won't mind. ;) ;) But seriously, Star Trek is nearly here Kate, resist!! The movie will be much better if you do.

I might have to watch a TV series this summer, I did last summer with the Sopranos and thought it was amazing, but if I do it will probably be breaking bad.

I watched about the first 10 seasons of South Park and really liked them, but I haven't kept up on it either. I have a severe dislike for Family Guy, but don't hold it against people who do like it. My favorite shows come from 3 people basically (2 Brits, too!) Ricky Gervais, Larry David, and Sacha Baron Cohen. I really like any thing Ricky does, Extras is probably my favorite, though. I like Larry David's Curb your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld. And Sacha Baron Cohen (as you could probably guess from my Borat ranking) I love the Ali G show, British and American. I've always wondered what people in the UK thought of SBC and Ricky Gervais, as they tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way.

Maybe just let the tears flow live Kate. I'm sure everyone around you wouldn't judge. In fact, they'll probably be in the same boat. But if you must resist, you have the right idea, focus on those dreamy eyelashes! ;) :D

I forgot to mention Kate from when you last mentioned Elbow..... I think they're excellent. I haven't listened to all their stuff, but I really enjoy 'One Day Like This' and 'Grounds for Divorce'. I have some more songs on my iPad, but I'm not risking losing this comment to check what their called. Do you have any recommendations?

Seven Pschopaths is just amazing! Glad you still love it.

That sounds bloody annoying with those guys! I understand why you buy standing tickets. You get touched by the lyrics and want to be standing up and taking it all in. Seating seems like it would limit your enjoyment, am I right?

I thought Ruby Sparks was an excellent movie. Jack Reacher was more fun than I thought it would be as well. Tom Cruise has some funny lines and kicks butt. But he really is miscast as Reacher, who was only a bit smaller than me in the books, had blond hair and was nothing to look at.

The Place Beyond the Pines is out when I'm in Darwin, but I bet it gets limited cinemas screens. :(

Seven doesn't seem like a movie you would watch usually. But I hope the quality of the film rises to the surface over some gruesome parts. I really love that movie. :)

I have looked for Diabolique for ages! I saw it on YouTube, but it was being explained for the deaf. :)

I only found out yesterday that Kate did a commentary for the blind for the movie Pathology. I have owned that movie for about three years! :) And i hate it! I'll have to listen to her describe all the terrible things that happen in that movie. :D She also does the subtitles and voiceover for the ABC (like your BBC) and was putting on a play with all young blind actors. The crowd will sit in a dark room. The point of the play is to understand how it is to be blind. I think it would be pretty good to see.

I hope you enjoy Seven, Kate! We'll have to talk about one bad scene, and your reaction, after you've watched it. That's gotta hurt! :) But you might want to forget, let's see.! :)

I'm probably in between being a casual gamer and a hardcore gamer. I think it's pretty cool you're into games so much. I don't know ANY women that are. That's pretty funny that you shot your friends hat off. When I first started i was distracted and shot a guy hanging in the face four times! :D

The Chaser guys are hilarious! Kate was in a bunch of eps for them. I'm going to revisit some of her eps of YouTube.

It'll probably be funnier if you watch The Slap first Kate. If you finish The Slap, keep in mind to watch the parody. :)

I'm glad you liked Se7en. I know what you mean! The Sloth was really bad.

I only just looked at your score for Se7en! You really loved it! It really sucks you knew what was coming though.

I think the blade scene is terrifying by how well that actor does at being freaked out. You don't see it, but you can picture it by watching him.

Did you know that Brad Pitt's cast was real? He actually broke his arm during filming. I think when he falls off the truck.

A strange coincidence made me think of you today.

First of all, Lucas the German bought a new Nintendo ds. He's excited to play it! This is the first part of the coincidence. The game he has is Monster Hunter 3, which I remembered you saying you liked. He's funny, he LOVES games. When he starts talking about them, you can't get one word in! He then said I should get one for the plane trip to Ireland. He then offered to give it to me to play to see if I would want to buy one. So I might be out huntin' for monsters as well! (I also tried to sound like Elmer Fudd :D).

But that's not all! Halfway through telling me about Monster Hunter 3, Matt Corby started on the radio! He was talking away, and i was trying to listen, but I was too busy thinking how funny that two things we've talked about were happening at the same time. :) It was truly bizarre, and it made my day. :)

I then had to tell Lucas, because he was wondering why I had a big smile on my face. I explained about the game and that you own it. I then told him about how I told you about 'Brother' that was playing on the radio. He laughed and agreed it was strange. He then said this about you, and i quote.

"Good taste in games, shit taste in music" :D

I think you're too strong to let something like that affect you Kate. But if you want me to give Lucas a lighthearted jab or push, I'm up for the job. :) I'll pass back a funny insult if you have any as well. He can take a joke. I'm not putting any pressure on you. :)

Do you like The Queens of the Stone Age? I don't mind some, more of the heavier stuff. I'm interested how they'll sound with Dave Grohl and Trent Reznor joining.

What is a big guilty pleasure song for you? C'mon, trust me, I'm not going to make fun of you. Once you tell me, I'll tell you mine. I have to go second to prepare myself. :D Hahaha!! It's very embarrassing for me.....it's making me squirm thinking about it. You know what music I like. This is nothing like that. :D You have full permission to make fun of me. I told Sarah that it was stuck in my head last year and I didn't know why. She went and listened to it.......... And turned it off after a minute. :D

I'm the manliest man! I was going to add an emoticon to show I was joking saying that, but fuck it, I am a manly man. :D I appreciate you not laughing at me, just shows again what type of person you are. :) But really, I think I deserve some sort of slap in the face. :) Yep, really discotastic, Kate. I might have to bring the song in style Kate, with the look to go with it! Buttoned up shirt....with the top two unbuttoned, whoooo, that's the look. :) now all I need to do is figure out how to grow more chest hair to really top off the look. :)

Yeah, that scene was very funny in Hellboy 2 :)

So did you end up with the tickets? I can't tell. I'm hoping you did buddy. :)

Oh, something Lucas said about Monster Hunter 3. He said "Fuck the shield! A dragon comes it and whoosh! You're dead anyway!" :) You agree?

Have you ever seen the vids for 'Come to Daddy' and 'Windowlicker' by Aphex Twin? Now they are strange! I used to watch rage late at night in my room when I was younger. When these came on at 2.00 in the morning, it would be an understatement to say I was creeped out. :)

Sloth is definitely the biggest "jump" scene of the movie, but to me the room full of air fresheners is the creepiest part long term, although now that I write it down it doesn't sound very grim.

I just read the comment about "bollocks," and I was also curious about it. I was watching a bunch of the Ricky Gervais show one weekend, which he says it frequently, and on a Monday at work it just popped out of my mouth. It may have been the only time I've ever said it in my life, and it confused everyone.

Also, I think it was Ali G, called someone a bell-end once. Its much funnier when you find out what it means.

I've been thinking about it..........and this song is much worse than Manilow...... So, so much worse! I don't like it sometimes either, but I have to admit to having it in my ears once as I walked through the shopping mall! :O Why would I tell you that! Seriously! You're lucky you are who you are or you wouldn't get diddly squat (I'm gonna look up where diddly squat originated) out of me! :D It probably helps you're so far away as well, I don't have to see you........ sitting there....... judging me. :D :D I'm only joking on the judging part. Hope you have a laugh! I'm actually listening to it now! Jesus Christ it's bad! Yet, it still catches my attention, for some reason. :D Maybe I just have a shit taste in music. :D It's so generic, so bland....... I'm just gonna shut up and quickly write Mel & Kim 'Respectable' :O :O :O :O :O :O!!! :D Oh no!! It really is a song for girls as well. :D Don't forget I like rock and punk! :D

Oh, and when you say you look away when Into Darkness is on, you better not be sneaking a peek! I don't know what I'll do..... but I'll do something to you if I find out you have. :)

If you want another guilty pleasure, you know the drill. If you can think of one that is. You might not get down in the music dungeon as much as I do :) I really don't think you can top mine. :) It's so lame and disgusting! :D

Oh, I was happy for the rest of the day as well! Your comments put me in a good mood. It was chaos at work, utter chaos! But I was very zen about it. :) I was working very hard through many problems, yet I kept my composure. People were coming to me angry to see what we needed to do to get through the work. I told them what was best.......very calmly. I think I set the example, and the rest stopped complaining. Even one of our slack workers was working fast. :D Gotta give you some of the credit for getting me through the day. Thanks. :)

I just discovered some songs from Anouk called 'Three Days in a Row' and 'Losing My Relgion' (R.E.M cover) that I really can't get enough of. :) Have you heard of her before? Her album cover For Bitter or Worse surprised me quite a bit! :)

Okay, I've seen all of them! First of all..... Michael Bolton! How did he get away with that hair for so long! But i guess he hasn't had a huge song since he cut it off. :) I can see why you like it Kate. However, the lyrics for the chorus is a bit too much for me. :) "steel bars wrapped around this heart of mine" :P

I totally respect McFly for writing and playing their stuff. I'm definitely not a fan of this type of music. Usually I want to jump through the screen and strangle them (along with Will.I.Am), but I really didn't want to this time. I'm very glad you love Star Kid so much, but I preferred Shine a Light. I admit this to you, and you only (and the potential thousands of people on flickchart :D) that I quite liked that song. My group of friends would not take kindly to this. :D

Okay, here we go! :D

I have a long connection to this song! I used to have a VHS tape (aaah, memories) of Disney cartoons that my mum taped of the tv. I just love Donald Duck- to this day. I think you knew that. But anyway, it would get to this part where they would show clips of all the love parts of the cartoons. Like Minnie (ha, Minnie) kissing Mickey and so on. Well, over top of this clip this song played that I must of heard 30 to 40 times when I was younger. I grew up and forgot about the song. But two years ago I heard it again, and it was like a wave of nostalgia went over me. I am quite ashamed I like this girly song, but I love the memories that are attached to it. I'm feel a lot stronger telling you this one. I think because I have a better reason for liking the song, but also because you're fun. Okay it's Taylor Dayne Tell It to My Heart.

Another ready if you want to. :)

I'm sorry your friend only likes him because he's hot (but can you blame her woohee ;D) I understand why that wouldn't be best. You want to have an amazing time with friends that are there for the same reasons. You might still want her to go, I don't know.............it's a predicament. :) Probably pretty hard to say no to her now, but it might make up for it if she's a really close friend. What about that girl you went on holidays with, is that her?I wish I could help you, but it's a little bit hard to from here. :) Keep me updated, I want it all to go well for you. :)

High five over Taylor Dayne love? I'm up for that! :D Maybe jumping in the air and high fiving would be even better!? Just picture yourself jumping in the air and high fiving a nearly six foot seven guy yelling YEAH! over a Taylor Dayne song! :D :D :D

P.s. I think you're being modest over your singing voice. You might be shy with it, but I bet you can belt out a tune. :) Oh, I wouldn't be a good singer like you, but I was totally shy to when someone wanted to hear my voice. Kate kept that dress a secret! That dress wasn't in any of the photos prior. Have you see her close-up image from The Great Gatsby? The make-up crew did a good job at making her look bitchy. :D

I thought you would say Dave Dobbyn was the biggest guilty pleasure. Ha! Even my sister likes that song. :)

I'll look up those Ellie Goulding songs later. You always love the songs I've never heard of! Which is awesome really, then I can learn what's songs I've missed. :)

I think Phil Collins became a guilty pleasure after South Park made fun of him. I enjoy this song, but not enough to call it a guilty pleasure. Okay, it's my go. I only heard this song about two months ago. I must of listened to it ten times since. It's Andrew Gold Never Let Her Slip Away. :D It's quite dorky, but I enjoy it.

He's a Kiwi skater that left his scooter alone. Then nek minute (next minute) it was destroyed. That's all I could get from it! :) It's just a weird vid I wanted to share.

Bloody hell Kate! You get Star Trek a week before me! That sucks! I wanted to talk to you about it! Don't reveal anything to me please. I know you wouldn't, you're very careful (very good of you btw) I just want you to either say it's good, it's bad or it's alright. :) Just a reminder, no peeking at the trailer! :)

Yes, Robot and Frank is one. It went to the top of the list to try and help you out. I don't know about the rest of the weekend. I'll just see how it goes, see what I'm in the mood for. What about you?

I'm off now, I hope you have a good weekend, ol' buddy ol' pal. :)

I was just sitting outside around the fire Kate. My friend Wade (Sarah's husband) was just saying how much she loved working with Shane and I. He also said how she thinks she owes me for helping her work during pregnancy. I told him she doesn't owe me anything. Now I think about it, it came out a bit cold how I said that, but all I meant was that her friendship is enough for me, I don't need rewards for acting how I should anyway. Ha! He said I was like a surrogate father for three months. :D I'm just glad to help. I think she might be annoyed at me a little. :) I have been giving her space, she does have a kid to look after. But I think she wanted me to come see her and Roan. Oops. :) Apparently he's smiles from one side of his face, that would be funny to see.

I like all those Ellie Goulding songs Kate! Guns and Horses is brilliant! I'll buy these. I realized it was actually Calvin Harris' song that I like on the radio now, but she's the singer.

I like another song but I don't know what it's called! It says something like you can be my good girl! Uhuh (something something) uhuh ( something something) Michael Jackson scream. :)

Thanks for telling me about the show! I might see if they are repeating it. I'll trust that you won't look. If they talked about the plot, I hope you covered your ears and said blah blah blah! You're in your house, you can act like a weirdo. :D Oh, I just read you muted..........that is also an option. :)

I definitely have to jump! It just has to be more of a squished up version. :D Wonder if a 30m run-up would do? :D

I'm reading what Kate is saying on twitter. :D It's quite funny! Some guy called Mandi Burns said

"Carey who? Kate Mulvany looked totes scmhokin' at The Great Gatsby premiere! Nice one lady!

Her response.

"Thanks beauty! Thank god for hairspray and supportive undies........"

That's Kate right there. She's got a great sense of humour. :)

To be honest, I never heard of Star Wars day! It's a day for Star Wars fans/nerds I assume?

I'll tell you another Kate tweet that caught my attention. She was tweeting to Tim Minchin.

"Had a wee in a public toilet today as you watched me from the wall. Awkward."

The tweet has a big poster of his face. :)

He replies

"I have little cameras in all the eyes of all my posters"

Lucky you got tickets Kate! :O :D How many did you get in the end?

I'm starting Robot and Frank right now. :)

I've been going through all the songs you recommended. They are all great! I'm not just saying that! I bought all of them. :) I haven't got to Elbow yet, but I'm sure I'll have to get them as well. I'm going to have to buy the full albums of A Wilhelm Scream and AFI. I bought File 13, but I don't want to use too much of my money. I'll save it for when I go watch Star Trek in two weeks. :) Bloody hell you've got a good taste in music! Good on ya! Mainly for Taylor Dayne though. ;D

Are you good with computers? Why do you think it's going slow?

I had a good weekend, thanks Kate. I hope you got everything done that you needed to. :)

Robot and Frank wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I'd hoped either. I wished that Frank abused the robot more. I liked how Frank said that "it's going to strangle me in my sleep" in the trailer. But their wasn't much more. The ending for me was uninteresting as well. It's still gets a pass mark, but only just. Frankenstein (haha, just saw the autocorrect mistake! I'm going to leave it in) Langella is the clear highlight of the movie, for me.

Thank you! Your yelling and running out of the room story made me laugh. Haha! I wish I could see your brother's face when you did that. :D Oh well, we can get away with stuff like that in front of our brothers and sisters. I'll remind you, I was wearing my sister's scarf. :D

I've been having to keep having breaks between paragraphs. I'm on my back on my bed, and Minnie is insisting on getting on my chest to pay attention to her! She purring very deeply, almost a bubbling sound, I don't know how else to explain it. Aargh! She just tried to lick my eyeball! I put her on the ground. :) She's a weirdo sometimes. :)

What did we do before YouTube Kate? :)

Glad you like the song. Do you think you'll see it at the cinema, or wait for DVD?

Did you end up seeing animal are jerks? Some of them are hilarious!

At some stage this week I'll watch this weird sounding doc called Dan Aykroyd Unplugged on UFOs on YouTube. It's supposed to be bat shit bananas! :)

Once again, I thank you for all the songs. But I must make sure you know how much I appreciate you telling me about Puncture Repair. Oh, I'll admit to accidentally buying Ellie Goulding Starry Eyed twice. :D I thought my money would last longer, I used it all! :D I got Daft Punk, Calvin Harris, Urthboy, Matt Corby, A Wilhelm Scream (four songs), AFI (about five songs), Ellie Goulding (4 + 1 :D), The Vaccines (three) Elbow and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (two songs). I went to get more Elbow, but was out!

Seeya Kate. Actually, I won't........but you know what I mean. :)

I laughed in animals can be jerks when the dog is humping that guy's head! :D :D Of course the humping is funny, but what made me laugh even more was how fast the dog made the decision to hump his head. :D Yep, you're evil for laughing at kids getting hit Kate, but I'm right there with you! :D I think it's the inner violent gamer coming out in both of us! :D I can't wait for GTA! Nobody is safe when I play! Hawhawhawhawhaw!!!

Yay Kate! I'm very happy you got one friend that enjoys the music, not just his looks :) I'm really hoping everything goes well for you! It's such a great feeling to help someone out that I really enjoy talking to. :) As I said, I'm not on Facebook or Twitter. So it's funny, and new to me, to help someone out on the other side of the world! :) Oh, I'm listening to AFI at the moment, feckin' awesome!!! He Who Laughs Last.... and Files 13 have been played a ton already! I'll have a look at the other AFI songs later. :)

I think you'd enjoy Before Sunrise and Before Sunset, Kate! You should see them soon to see if you'd want to see Before Midnight. :) Oh, and you should see The Machinist!! Bale is awesome! It's amazing to know that he went from this movie to Batman Begins. Truly a mighty effort to transform so much!

I feel like admitting a guilty pleasure. You don't have to, I just feel like doing it. :) Simply Red Sunrise. I'm also really enjoying Mia Dyson When the Moment Comes. Love her voice! Not a guilty pleasure at all! :) I want to kill James Arthur! How many times a day do they need to play his song! Seriously!

What are some English bands you can't stand?

I'll admit to you Kate that I came and looked at your page about four months before I asked to be your friend. :) When you see someone with 0 comments, it usually means they don't want to talk to you. So I assumed you were the same. :O I'm glad I changed my mind and asked you to be my friend. It's the best decision I have made on flickchart. :)

Oh, and Star Trek 2 is now coming out May 9, but I can't see it until the following week anyway! :(

When I was younger, I would sit out on the veranda and watch the sunset going over the hills. I would put my feet up on a post and relax. Ashley would also like to relax. I haven't seen any of Boosh for some time. I'll try to watch an ep tomorrow. :)

I don't know if you'd like Sleepaway Camp, but you've got to see it, to believe it. I'm entertained, but it's so bad! It's a horror, but it's so ridiculous that you can't take it seriously. But it really does have one of the biggest wtf twists of all time. :)

Funny you should say about soundtracks because I bought the Dredd one as soon as I had seen the film, I had never bought a soundtrack before. Reflects how much I liked the film I guess, also I wanted to give them more money lol. I had bought the Blu Ray and it dawned on me the planned sequels won't be made unless the film was profitable, which unfortunately it wasn't. A great injustice for such a fine film I think.

I don't go to the cinema very much at all. The last film I saw at the cinema was Skyfall. Odd I know for someone who uses a site to appreciate films. I'm currently at university and I'm thinking when I get a job I will get a yearly membership at my local cinema, then I can go as I please and see a lot more films on the big screen.

Star Trek is something I have never really experienced, TV and film wise. I watched Next Generation sporadically as a child but I don't remember much. I've heard good things about the latest films so maybe I check them out, especially if you also recommend them?

I'm looking forward to the Lone Ranger. Johnny Depp is great and I'm sure it will be my kind of film.

I'M GLAD YOU'RE GOING!!!! Geez Kate, someone will think you're excited. :D I don't want you to wait, I also wish we were watching it at the same time, but these things happen. I'm very keen to talk to you about the movie.

I have ignored it for a while now, but I have to ask, why do you call them trails? I have never heard someone say it before................except for you. :)

Picture Gollum, walk and all, and that's pretty close to what the guy who throws shit down the inside of his wall looks like. I heard that he caught his best friend and wife having sex. His best friend lived with them. His punishment to him was that he had to watch black and white television for a week! :D Also, I saw with my own eyes him pick up mince from the road that he dropped out of his pie, and put it in his mouth! :O

Oh, the liar had a new one! He got asked how his lunch was. He said bad. They asked why, and he said that he had a heart attack!! He's only 23!! Now Kate, he must be related to Wolverine......the bloody healing powers are godlike!! :)

I know i'm repeating myself, but I'm pumped you get to see Star Trek, bud! At least one of us gets to! I'll be wanting to chew your ear off.......not in a Tyson way. :) Oh, and I proud of ya from staying away from all the footage, well done. :)

Apparently Seal and Delta aren't dating. I hate that! Tabloids just write down anything now as fact.

What do you think of City and Colour and Greg Holden?

I'm not a big Fleetwood Mac fan, in fact, many songs annoy me that I've heard. But The Chain works for me. I only heard it today for the first time.

I always listen to City and Colour Comin' Home when I'm on a plane returning home, it makes me happy. :)

Oh, if you do decide to watch Sleepaway Camp on YouTube. Don't go too far down the page! Someone has also posted the very end of the movie. Just a heads up. :)

I was laughing when Vince is annoying Howard with wind noises and asking if the black bits in bananas is tarantula eggs. :D

I'm finishing the ep this morning, I pretty much passed out last night from not having enough sleep. :)

World War Z has had many problems during filming.

I put a request in for Inseparable to be added last night, that's why you couldn't find it.

I have to go to work, I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I'll talk to you later Kate. :)

I assumed that was what trails was. Keep saying it. :)

If you do end up deciding to watch Sleepaway Camp, don't take is seriously. Take in the same attitude as you did for The Room, and you should be fine. :) In my opinion, it's not as badly made as The Room, but it matches it for laughs. :)

The Man of Steel trailer is another I'm avoiding. I'm also avoiding Evil Dead, Kick-Ass 2, and probably Sin City 2 trailers when it comes out.

After Inseparable, I might call myself a cumberbitch! I'll wait for Star Trek to confirm my theory. :)

Nurries (Sarah and I would say that instead of no worries) Kate! I wanted us to be able to rank Inseparable. Nurries also means testicles. :) I'd say thanks to Sarah, and she say 'nurries, Shane!' :) I actually just looked up the word nurries on the Internet (glad it wasn't google images :D) right now, and other Aussies say nurries for no worries as well! I was doing it without any knowledge that it was a thing. :) A favourite nurries saying of Aussies is 'I'll kick ya in the nurries!

You should of yelled at the Darth Vader lady.

'Wrong f@€kin' movie!!' :)

You Star Trek tease! ;) Ringing in your ears, I can't wait for some partial deafness! :)

Oh, I may as well admit a guilty pleasure, seeing as you told me one. Okay, this is another bad one because I'm a guy. Alright, it's En Vogue Don't Let Go. :O I don't know why! Maybe the voices work well together? What's your thoughts Kate? Big dork? ;D

Another downside to not going to the cinema is waiting for films to be released on DVD. Although it's not as bad these days, I remember the days of VHS where I'm sure it would take over a year or two to be released!

I will check out Star Trek. It sounds quite good.

Apparently we also say 'no worries, no nurries'. But I haven't heard anyone say it like that. Might be a Queensland thing. :) I also learnt we apparently say 'Give a f%ck, toilet duck'. Sounds like a bogan saying to me. :)

Now Kate, do you say 'alright' when you first see someone. I see people say it in movies and in The Inbetweeners, it doesn't feel natural to just say 'alright'. :) What does it even mean! Is it, are you 'alright'? I'm 'alright'? If someone only said 'alright' to me, I'd be like, "yeah, and?" When I was Shaneing with Irish Shane and talking about 'alright', he said that the Irish say it quite a bit in Ireland as well. I was telling him that if someone said 'alright' to me, I would ask if I looked sick. :) It's fine if you grew up saying it, but with other people, they can take it so many BLOODY ways!!! :) Do you respond back 'alright'.....what a conversation starter! ;) People could also get confused and get stuck in an endless loop. :)

We had a Shaneing debate for a good 35 minutes of comparable slang for food and clothes to see who's made more sense. :D That was hilarious! We were actually taking the debate serious, but having a laugh at the same time. Good times. :) But seriously, they call underpants, pants! Pants! They call pants, trousers, now that works for me as well. But you have pants, right, so what's under pants? UNDERpants of course! However, we just shorten it to undies. :D But at least it's still referring to the same thing! Saying 'pants' just refers to something completely bloody different!! :D Oh the candy/lolly, baps/muffins, chips/crisps debates were fun as well. :) I won't go into as much detail as i did with Shane, that's a bloody lot of writing! :) I went over this a bit with gaveecho as well. :)

Nope, no dance routine. I'm glad I get away from looking like a big dork in your eyes. ;)

I like The Goonies, but I have no nostalgic connection to it. Unfortunately, I only watched it two years ago for the first time. I was impressed, but felt I was too late to the party. It's still a 7/10 for me. :)

Lucas is too addicted to the Nintendo 3Ds. He keeps staying up all night to play. :) He offered that he would give it to me when he was away on a weekend. It remains to be seen if that will happen. :)

Yes I was considering watching District 9. I remember it's original release but forgot about it until I read Battle: Los Angeles was compared very unfavourably to it. I watched the latter recently and wasn't particularly impressed.

***spoilers for Sleepaway Camp***
The chef had to die after that comment when the kids were all running into camp. :O The rest of them shrug it off like it's nothing! Oh, you pedophile! :D The death made me laugh as well! It looked terrible how he was stuck. He was tall! Do anything other than bring that water down with you! :D When he was burning I laughed and laughed! Oh, the guy that found him is Robert Earl Jones, the dad of James Earl Jones!

The speedboat death was amazingly bad! :D 'What's he saying?' Like you would keep looking back when your driving a speedboat when someone is yelling at you! :D the girls reaction when she murdered everyone is priceless! She couldn't give a shit! :D

It was very weird when they hinted at incest as the camera circled around the bed, and they are looking at each other. :O

Oh and the bees! Climb under the door, you idiot! Those bees must of eaten meat because of those craters in his arms! :D

It's so funny that everybody that was about to be killed was like 'oh, it's you, what are you doing here?'. :D

I need a pair of those guy's shorts! ;D

She murdered all those little kids for no reason! :D

How did the body of that girl stay up in the shower so long? :D

Now to the wtf ending. That girl's face was completely bat shit! And that hissing noise! I can still picture it clearly, such a disturbing image! It's way too good a twist for this type of movie.

I heard Birdemic is hilariously bad as well. Tell me if you plan to see it, and I'll watch it too. :) Oh, and the sequel is out this year! Yes! :)

No 'alright' makes no sense!!! ;D and what an average word to use! Why not 'good' or 'amazing'. Saying your just 'alright' has already set you up for a shit day! ;D

I just, I just can't continue with the whole 'pants' debate, it'll rotten me to the core, Kate. ;)

Oh, I think 'give a fuck, toilet duck' is something someone would say to a person who is sick of them not trying. If it was 'who gives a fuck, toilet duck' I would agree with you that it meant 'whatever, I don't care'. I saw another one, but a woman might not want to hear it, if you get what I mean. :) I think you'd be 'alright' with it. :)

Max Payne 3 is awesome! I'm taking great joy in jumping down stairs and shooting crims in the face. :)
