Hi Josh,

First off, I'm not sure the guy who types comments like "FUCK YOU Caesar" is the correct person to be scolding others for being immature. Secondly, my joke was merely my playful way of telling you you're taking things way too seriously...and, apparently, you still are. Thirdly, Sean Young is a woman, so I'm not sure how my joke could be taken as "homophobic."

Sure, I type a lot of silly comments in the discussions. A lot of us do. The site is meant to be fun, so we treat it as such. If you have a problem with that, then perhaps Flickchart isn't the place for you.

That was a joke, dude. We were all a bit surprised that a person with the username "Skywalker" (in the same thread) would find Star Wars overrated. So I was just kinda continuing the joke where people hate things their usernames are apparently based on. I'm a massive DBZ fan, as my username would suggest to you.

No worries, Josh. :) I love 300! I know it's not a perfect movie, but for pure enjoyment, it totally works for me. I love over-the-top movies. That's why I have Kick-Ass, Shoot 'Em Up in my top ten as well. However, if you look further down my list, you'll see all the classics like Taxi Driver, 12 Angry Men, The Treasure of Sierra Madre and the first two Godfather movies. Basically I enjoy a variety of movies. The only type of movies I don't really like are musicals, and I'm still willing to give them a shot.

Heath is a big reason I like Tha Dark Knight so much. I like a good villain in a movie Josh, so it's clear why it's my number one.

If you ever want to ask me something about movies, don't hesitate, I'm very willing to help. :)

What do you think of the Carrie remake coming out I'm against it because the original is one of my top 10 favorites and nothing in the trailer impressed me.

Q: How did you get an internet connection in the woods?

A: James Franco.

Q: Is James Franco a nice guy in real life?

A: Of course, he got me an internet connection in the woods.

Is that Carrie question to me Joshua? I'll answer it anyway. I haven't seen the trailer, but I'll wait until I see the movie before I get angry. If I see the trailer, and something makes me mad, I might be against it.

I've seen Carrie, Joshua. I love that movie! :) However, I'm Australian, we don't get netflix. But thanks anyway.

I'm very excited for Kick-Ass 2, but I'm keeping the hype down so I'm not disappointed by the movie. I haven't seen any trailers so to not have anything spoiled for me.

My favourite actor would also be Robert De Nero. However, I don't include most of what he's done for the last ten years. I also like younger Pacino, but he hasn't done anything good for a while. The actors I am enjoying right now would be Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and Ryan Gosling.

I like Uma Thurman as well, but it's usually connected to Tarantino when I do. It's taking me longer to think of actresses. Oh, Ellen Page, I really enjoyed her in this crazy movie called Super. But she's not my favourite. Um..........I'll get back to you, I need to think about it.

It's kinda unclear who my favorite actress is. But I enjoy Faye Dunaway, Natalie Portman, Tilda Swinton, Jennifer Lawrence. I'm probably missing a obvious one, but I'll tell you if I think of it.

That sucks Joshua. I would be very mad. 'Oh' Haha! That would of funny.

Alice Eve didn't ruin the movie, but her acting didn't bring anything to the table.

I'm going to see it for the second time tomorrow, and I rarely see movies in the theater more than once. I really liked that scene with Kirk and Spock, too. In fact, I liked all of the parallels between this movie and The Wrath of Khan. It's too bad there are people complaining about it being a rip-off. It's an homage, and an enjoyable one at that.

Ooh, that is tough! It's very close between Nolan, Tarantino and Scorsese. I like your list btw, good mixture of directors.

1. Tarantino
2. Scorsese
3. Nolan
4. Spielberg

To be honest, I can't think what the last one would be. But it would be between Kubrick, Peckinpah, De Palma, Mann, R Scott and Coen Brothers. Ah, i've got it! :D

5. Fincher

Plus you just added Paycheck, which I heard was terrible. If you've been watching Hepburn movies, I've got a recommendation for you. Have you seen Wait Until Dark? I absolutely love this movie! She plays a blind woman who's terrorized by two burglars who want something she doesn't know she has. Hepburn is great, so is Alan Arkin as one of the burglars.

High five for seeing The Circus. That's the Charlie Chaplin silent film that no one talks about, for some reason. I always thought it was about as good as his other silent films.

If you're thinking about some Buster Keaton films to check out, The Navigator and Seven Chances are worth seeing.

I'm pretty anti-remake as it is, so the fact that Hollywood is now churning them out at a record rate galls me to no end.

The RoboCop remake will probably dilute everything that was good about the original, and all that'll remain will be some forgettable piece of crap. I probably won't bother to see it, just like I refused to see that Total Recall remake.

It's definitely my favorite superhero movie of all-time, although I do think The Dark Knight is the better film. On Flickchart, I just rank films from most favorite to least favorite, whereas on Letterboxd I try to grade them more objectively.

Hi Josh! Thank you for commenting on my Flickchart stuff. :D

May I know how many times have you seen Taxi Driver? I am afraid to rewatch it because I think I might not love it as much. I want to wait some years before I rewatch it. Same thing with my other top movies.

From what I see on Flickchart, you have been on a streak of movies lately. 90% of them are 5 stars. Awesome. I also pick which movie to watch carefully.

Nice talking to you man. :D

Hey Joshua, I'm sorry I didn't see your comments/questions in my Letterboxd lists until now. I haven't taken a look at my lists in a while.

Anyway, Moneyball is one of my favorite films mainly because I'm a big fan of the sport and Moneyball is one of my all-time favorite books.

That's weird. The same thing happened with my viewing of Five Easy Pieces. I did love it while watching it, but after thinking about it, everything got so much better. That's the reason it is so high on my list.

Not overhyping yourself, I tried that, with Fight Club, but the second the Dust brothers kicked in, I got so hyped and it ended up being a disappointment. I always try to keep my expectations low when watching a movie. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Thanks for the advice though.
Good thing I always watch movies alone.

That idea comes from desperation. I want to love my top movies as much, that's why the gap between rewatching them is so big. I have still only seen my top 3 once.

About your 2001: A Space Odyssey rewatch. Were you scared of not loving it that much? How long had it been since the last time you saw it? How often do you rewatch you top favorite movies?

Welcome back, Josh. It looks like you added a few 2014 summer blockbusters to your chart. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is my favorite of those three (surprise, surprise).

Yeah, I think I may have shuffled my top 10 about six months ago. My overall chart is still a mess, but my top 100 looks about right.

Yeah, my Flickchart is also a bit of a disaster. I would erase everything and start fresh, but I've decided to simply wait for Flickchart 2.0 to come along (Nathan Chase and Jeremy Thompson are still working on it.)

I really hope the new Flickchart is ready sometime this year, because I can't wait to see how it'll look and what kind of features it'll have.

I used to have a proper Facebook account, but I kinda gave up on it a while ago (I just got bored with it). I set up a new account just so I could be a part of the Flickcharters Facebook group, but I don't have any Facebook friends or anything like that. You should definitely join our Flickcharters group. All we do is talk movies, movies, movies. It's a closed group, but I know Nathan would definitely let you join.

Hope to see you in the group!
