You have an awesome top 10 as well. I have a huge preference in films with good stories and directing, etc.

I really think you should try to watch Seven Samurai and The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. They're both mainly plot and character driven with some really great action scenes here and there. They're both available on Netflix - if you have that service.
